I used this product to repair the sunroof on my 2001 Ford F150 Lariat; the kit fit perfectly, and I was able to perform a very expensive sunroof repair for almost nothing thanks to a YouTube video I found online. The fact that the right and left assemblies were not labeled as such is my only criticism of this product. As a result, before removing the old brackets, I recommend laying them out (next to your existing brackets). After you've removed the sunroof assembly and laid it out on your table, you'll see what I mean. The repair job was not as difficult as it seemed at first, and it went very smoothly once I got started. However, I recommend finding a good UTube video to use as a guide. I used one titled "09- 14 Ford F-Series COMPLETE GUIDE TO REPAIRING A SUNROOF FOR 150 DOLLARS. There isn't enough of a difference between the 01 and 09 designs to make a difference).
This sunroof repair kit did exactly what it said it would. My 2013 Ford F250's tracks had to be replaced, and the extended warranty I purchased didn't cover the cost because they claimed it wasn't a mechanical issue, but rather a failure of the plastic tracks. As a result, I was responsible for the repair, which would set me back $2400. I chose to repair it myself, which resulted in a savings of $2300! My wife and I worked on the repair for two four-hour days. We made sure to take our time and install it correctly without rushing, and everything turned out perfectly, and my sunroof is back in working order! Because I had to remove the inside headroof, I used the extra funds to install amber cab lights. I'm glad I took on the project myself now. I was able to complete it because of my fear, perseverance, and commitment.
For the 2010 Ford Lariat, I had to make some modifications that weren't exactly right. Overall, I think it's a good deal and a much better option than paying Ford $2,400 to repair it. 00! br>It was a big job to get to the sunroof by removing the entire heading in the truck. A 5-star rating is to be expected. Job duration: six hours.
Although the product arrived as described, I decided to purchase a larger kit. This was most likely due to my inexperience and later realization that I needed something different; the plastic on this repair kit was too flemsey, and I should have bought the larger kit in the first place.
It was a breeze to set up and it saved me a lot of money. I will definitely purchase again if the need arises.
This kit was used to repair a Raptor's sunroof, and it worked perfectly at a low cost!.
For my 2014 Ford F150 SPORT, it's perfect.
