What kind of fit will this do for a 2012 King Ranch? Some parts are different, according to what I've read. Would you mind if I say thanks?

The device worked perfectly with the Platinum F150 I have. Sunroof Doctor is the site to go to for sunroof repair kits. It is possible to remove only the glass panel and not the whole headliner in order to repair this issue?

Unless you have someone to do the repair for you, you will have to get rid of the entire assembly

Bringing the 2011 Ford sunroof back to life
5/5

The F350 CC is a 2011 model. We had a problem with the roof closing and tilting. We ordered this after reading about it online, and got nervous, but followed the instructions to do it. As can be seen in the YouTube video, the sunroof is 100% functional again. d) we repair according to the manufacturer's instructions by a.

The fitting and operation are great
5/5

You can save yourself about $2000 if you An inexpensive socket set, some screwdrivers, and YouTube can be all that you need. Including these instructions would be a waste of time. Although I've been through the job once, I suspect it could be done faster now that I've been through it once, but if I have to do it again, I hope to never have to do it. The actions I just took were very good - My time spent on this project was seven hours, but I had to work slowly and cautiously because I did not have the budget to fix something I might have damaged while doing it. I think it would go faster if someone helped, however, you can definitely do it on your own. I had to buy a T50 torx to remove the seatbelts as the only other tool I needed.

I really liked how this worked! I just saved more than 1200 dollars with this kit
5/5

Among the three quotes I received were from Ford, an auto glass shop, and an auto body shop. The cost of repairing the sunroof was over 1600 dollars. My memory of the youtube video was good enough to watch it several times from start to finish, and I made notes and timestamps of the steps I knew I might need to refer to later. Be sure to have all the necessary tools on hand. The big torx bit for removing the seat belts costs about $4 at the auto parts The tools we had were a rivet gun and a hex wrench. I was initially unsatisfied with the fit, but once I got into it and had a chance to cycle a couple times, I was pleased with it. I highly recommend it if you are over the average cyclist. It requires a 1010 part so if you're easily frustrated, pay the pros, and note that you will not be able to use this kit, as it requires a 1000 dollar OEM part.

There's nothing but junk and junk
3/5

The price is good at $50, but old wise Chinese men say that value comes in to play. I spend the rest of the day elbow deep in the thing on a Sunday, and hours and cuss words later find out it's precisely 1 mm too wide, and the seller rarely responds until a couple of days later. This is kewl. As a result, I managed to file all the pcs and get them to Because it was predicted to rain on Monday morning and I had to report to work, I didn't have a lot of options. Fortunately, after a week of exchanging messages with the seller, I finally made up my mind. One reason, I was told, is that it would be too much of a hassle to sit down and write proper instructions, because the ones provided are only of any use if you happen to run out of toilet paper, and there is nothing else on this rock. I think they're a waste of time. There was further notification that this was actually a blessing as the seller had been an angel for providing me with a cheap Chinese imitation product and because I did not take it to the dealer or shop, I saved myself thousands of dollars. That's really true. It would never be the same Instead of ignoring the reviews, I should have listened to them. Breathe in through your mouth.

I'm pleased with the results so far
5/5

I was a little skeptical after hearing about all the problems people were facing. This seller had a higher number of listings than I did. This job is not difficult, however, it takes a lot of time because there is so much disassembly to do. As a matter of fact, I got good results from the kit. As well, if it has been a while or ever since the glass seal has been replaced, now might be a good time. To remove the fuse from the interior light, pull it. For my truck, this fuse also powers the power windows and sunroof, so if you'd like the windows down, now would be the time to do it. It appears in some videos that the headliner remains in place. It is recommended to drill the rivets on the cable end, NOT the end of the air deflector. In between the track and the end caps, there is a butyl sealer. Put slow, easy pressure on the end cap and it will come off. BE CAREFUL IF YOU WIP THE SEALER OFF! In the end, it will seal the pieces back together. My 2002 F1500 Lariat has a sliding cover that will not go out of the cable end of the track, so be careful when cleaning it. The air deflector cap needs to be removed if you wish to remove the device. (Remove the two little screws in the retainer that hold the air deflector limit straps, fold the deflector back onto the track, and slide it off the track. The 3 rivets should be drilled as well as the other end, and the cap should be carefully removed. There are more 3/16 aluminum rivets needed, and the cover can now be removed from those ends. Remember that when installing the end cap again, you will need to trim off the excess rivets so the air deflect and spring can clear them and lay flat. *) It says to use carb cleaners, but if the tracks are caked in dried moly grease as mine were, soak them in WD40 first, then gently scrub with a tooth brush to loosen it, and finally use a plastic cleaner to rinse it. To clean aluminum tracks completely, you must start at the bottom and work your way up. There is a lot of mess here. The tracks will be mostly greased with the grease supplied. Don't be shy about applying the coating Aside from the air deflector ramp, the top of the track is also included. The new rail pieces can be coated with a small amount remaining. If you want to use 3/16 rivets, you will need a rivet gun that can handle them (for your information, 1/4in rivets are too They appear to be using a liquid butyl sealer in the factory to seal the track to the end cap. It was impossible to find any, so all I did was scrape the aluminum chips out and heat it a little with my heat gun (take care not to heat it too much or the rivets will pull through) to soften the sealer, then re-attach it. Put everything together. In addition to not drying, this sealer is used for its non-drying property. Soft and flexible, it does not deteriorate over time. RTV and silicone will not be as flexible as this stuff. . . . and a couple of other things Make sure you don't install the head liner until you've tested the sunroof, and make sure we have the glass in place before you run it with power. installing the glass, locate the unit with help from the old marks left by the washers. Ensure all the bolts on the frame are tight. Install the frame completely. The glass should be installed and the motor should be plugged in. If you removed the roof control button assembly and the fuse, your windows will not work. If you reinstall them initially, they will work. Make sure the key is turned on and that the roof is working. The chances of it wriggling are slim at best. It must be re-tied The close/tilt button must be held in order to work. A little jig will eventually be done. Once you have let off the button, let it go. You should be able to use it now. You can try it out by pressing the auto button. To adjust the glass, you must now raise it. The sunroof needs to be closed. To remove the glass, loosen the glass retaining screw just enough to let it move. settings call for the glass seal on the front to have a value of From 0 to From 0 to Above the roof, there is a score of 039 points. At the front, I set mine just under the roof, and at the rear, just over the roof. There's a good chance The number 015 In the range of 02 to 04. In order to prevent rain and wind from passing through the seal, this procedure must be followed You can now reassemble your ride by pulling the fuse again. Just a quick note first you will need to turn the power on. It is best to get some silicone grease (not lubricant, grease) or even just some silicone grease, and apply it every year to keep things from getting stuck.

Although the part fit, it did not come with instructions
3/5

Later, it was discovered that the video contained a few inconsistencies. Slide the forward assembly only as far as the cam's guide arm is positioned on top of the track, and do not slide it completely to the front. As soon as the slide assembly is properly oriented, I will show photos.

The fit is good
5/5

There are a few changes I would like to make. The 2006 F150 crew cab model is compatible with this part. A fast fix at a low cost. The first time I would have tried to pay for that, I would have tried 15 times. There is just one thing I could find wrong with mine, the new slide with a metal rod had an extra plastic mold. If you want the glass to track correctly, you have to cut it off. Just pay attention to what it looks like when you reassemble it.
