Questions & Answers

The rubber seal that goes with this part is not readily available. Does anyone know where I can get it?

There is no gasket available at the moment. If you want to install the original version, please use that one. Thanks a lot.

Does this refer to the upper or lower trim that is visible or does it refer to the casing that it is placed in? It is only the outer cosmetic piece I need. I have the framed and clips already. ?

As the outer is the cover, so is the inner.

For one set of clipts, how much does it cost?

Probably came with an adhesive that stuck well to it, but I cannot remember what it was

Where can I find glue for it?

Although it doesn't have glue, it does have tape on both sides. Order new clips before the end of the month! Those that you already have cannot be reused.

It's a cheap replacement for the plastic crap that Fords put on their The Explorer was adorned with an impressive amount of plastic pieces on the exterior, which was put on at an expensive price to replace cheaply made plastic pieces
5/5

It was the rubber seal that decided it was a great time to slap the driver's window when this started to chunk off at 80 mph. It was a free gift from Ford. I was told to buy the other expensive plastic piece into which it fits that I could buy from the windshield guy. I see you bought it from the dealer. Hence, my sincere thanks to Ford for making my fine, fine vehicles better with that $500 repair.

There is only a portion on the outer side
5/5

Getting new clips is also very easy. As long as you are familiar with basic assembly of parts, you should have no problem. This is only an outer part of the applique. Not the part of the frame that matters more. You may have a problem with the inner piece if the outer breaks off. Make sure to order clips as well! Buying an old one won't be worthwhile if it needs to be replaced.

I strongly suggest you do not spend any money on this
3/5

I found it to be very easy to install, that's its only good point. My disappointment is that I wasted the money. The piece I had on my vehicle for two days looked great and I am glad I got it back instead of As I was driving down a residential street the clip flew off three of the clips broke and there was no way to fix It is a waist of money to buy this piece of plastic over and over again since it is not worth it to keep buying it. I'd rather spend the money at the dealer to replace it and hope it lasts than.

It's impossible for me to win this piece if I lose it
4/5

The only reason I am giving it a 4 is that I don't think the seller is at fault. This is now my second window trim replacement since I lost my original. In my opinion, I will need the whole kit at this point because I will be traveling at about 75 to 80 mph After mount and takeoff at 80 MPH for a one hour trip, the plane left within 30 minutes. Despite being very small, it was tight and snug. It felt like I was going nowhere and as if there was no ending to it. It did fly off, but not before it landed.

I was really pleased with the product for the price
5/5

It shipped quickly and arrived faster than I had expected. Marks are on the top of the trim to show where to press down on the clips, and there is a tube of sealant included so that the trim can be installed as instructed. It is the second time that I've purchased this trim piece, only on the other side, and I would almost certainly purchase it again due to poorly designed products.

I don't know how much this costs for a bit The truth is
3/5

As the rubber beneath the plastic cover is not included, you will have to purchase it Having to figure out where and how to apply the epoxy canister that comes with it is a pain in the installation instructions.

Don't forget to order the clips as well
5/5

Perfectly fitting and easy to install, the part is perfect for the application. To order the clips, you will have to contact us. I just wanted to make sure). There were clips at the bottom and top of the part. It's also nice that Ford recommends the use of adhesive with the part.
