Questions & Answers

Is the push button compatible with a 2012 Civic SI? Isn't it just the button that I require?

I honestly have no idea. I recommend that you search the internet for honda parts websites and match your part number to them. This was done so that my part would fit properly. My 2006 Honda Civic is a perfect fit.

Is this emergency handle break compatible with a Honda Civic Si from the year 2012?

This is a product that you should not purchase! It is only compatible with the years 2006 and later. Models from the year 2011. I searched extensively for you but was unable to locate the correct part, even on a GENUINE HONDA PARTS website; therefore, I recommend that you contact the dealer. Call the parts department at your nearest dealer or come in and ask to be directed to the parts department. Make no apologies for doing so. That's why they're there in the first place.

Is this compatible with a 2009 Honda Civic with a right-hand drive?

This appears to be the case. The handle itself is identical; the only difference is in the placement. It was simple to transport and set up.

Is it compatible with a Honda Civic Si model from 2007?

On a 2007 Civic EX, it was a perfect fit.

I can't wait for the dealer to contact me and give me a quote for my grip replacement
5/5

On June 22nd, I purchased a pre-owned Honda Civic EX. I'm driving it the next day (I'm a courier) when I notice a problem with the handbrake. It's falling apart, so I go to the dealer the next morning, and they photograph it and tell me that on Monday they'll send the photos along with a report to Honda, asking what they can do about it. Even though I was searching for floor mats for the same car on Amazon on the evening of July 5th, I had not heard anything. I was shown two items that other people had bought when they chose the same floor mats when I added them to my cart. This replacement handbrake kit was one of them. I examined it and concluded that it contained everything I required. So I placed an order for it. It was supposed to arrive today, Monday the 10th, but it arrived yesterday, Sunday the 9th, very early. It was up and running in 15 minutes. There were no instructions packaged, so you'll have to figure it out on your own. You might be able to find an article or a video that shows you how to do it if you do a Google search. I examined the components and discovered that they are genuine Honda replacement parts. My handbrake now appears to be brand new. You can replace your own hand-brake grip if you're a little handy.

superior to those who are not oem (original equipment manufacturer) version I had previously purchased a knockoff for a few dollars less
5/5

It came to an end exactly one year later. I'm aware of this because I purchased it on Amazon. The knock off didn't 100% fit. It had a sloppy fit. This authentic version is PERFECTLY FITTING. There were no wobbles or wiggles, and it "clicked" into place much more loudly. Make sure you get the genuine one so you don't have to buy it twice.

This fit my 2008 Civic perfectly, as expected
5/5

This fit my 2008 Civic EX-L perfectly, as expected. Mine broke while pulling the brake one day, and I was able to get by for a few weeks by simply pressing on the little nub that the button presses on, but that got old after a while. My local Honda dealer told me that they could get it for me, but it would cost around $45. br>br>The replacement was very simple; the only thing I would recommend is that you put the rubber sleeve on first, then the rest; I didn't the first time and had to remove everything and start over.

It's a perfect fit for an FA5! It's the perfect fit for my 2008 FA5! If you take your time, it'll only take you two minutes to install; my stock ebrake handle button had stopped working after 255k miles, but this was the perfect solution!

It was a bit of a headache at first, but it all worked out in the end, which is fantastic! It was simple to put together, though I had some difficulty getting the top silver part to snap onto the rest with the button inside
4/5

I had snapped it on perfectly at first before realizing the button had to go inside it first, then prying it off without breaking it was a challenge, and snapping it back on with the button inside was even more difficult-- It didn't snap back on as easily as it used to, and it kept falling off later. Then, at first, the button would get stuck a lot, and I'd have to pull the brake up and let it go to get it to snap back out. However, after a few weeks of use, it appears to have loosen up to the point where it hardly ever sticks, and the cover remains snapped on as well. So I guess by using it, I've gotten it in the right spot. Despite my lack of installation expertise, it appears to have worked out well.

Installing it was a breeze
5/5

My 2007 Honda Civic has had a slew of interior issues, one of which was the grip and knob completely breaking off on me. I'm not a car expert, but ordering, setting up, and installing this on my own was a breeze. I thought it was even better quality than the original Honda part, so given the car's age, I'm guessing it's a genuine part. If you're not sure how to install it, there are plenty of youtube videos available that will walk you through it step by step. There is no need for any additional tools.

Before you put the part together, make sure it's in good shape
3/5

This item appears to be a genuine Honda part, and it looks exactly like the one I'm trying to replace, minus the wear. The clip on the underside of the part that attaches to the lever was already cracked in one spot when we ordered it the first time. We chose to have it replaced by this seller instead of returning it. Before we even opened the bag, we double-checked the replacement. It had two cracks in the same spot as the first ordered part. This is the part that is shown in the picture. Because it's difficult to see through the unopened bag, I've circled the flaw. You can see how the circled side differs from the other side in the second image.
