I used self tapping screws with a small washer to make sure the screws didn't pull threw the slotted holes in the light bar on the trailer I installed them on. The light bar had to be attached to something metal on the trailer and the trailer also had to be grounded.
It is only possible to use red lights.
Agri supply or tractor supply stores are available close to you if you live nearby. It is possible to buy light assemblies there. In order to repair a light bar set, they are sold separately. The old school version is still available, but the led version is also available. As an example, if I lose a lens, I can easily buy a replacement at the store if I wish
In fact, yes. Their waterproof nature makes them a useful product. When backing a boat trailer into the water, it is always a good practice to unplug the trailer harness. An integrated watertight seal is one thing, but letting cool or cold water come into contact with hot or warm bulb surfaces is never a good idea.

As of now, I'm of the impression that it's not too expensive. In fact, the lights themselves are not even straight mounted on the bar, so it is not clear how much quality control was performed. In fact, they are quite bright, if anything, a little too bright for running lights, but that is fine. The ground lead for each light is in a loose tuck under the mounting screw for Wrapping the wires around by a little more and covering them in liquid electrical tape have prevented corrosion for the long run. Likewise, I added a ground cable while I was at it, since I prefer a dedicated ground lead to relying on the screws for grounding. In the meantime, I will either update this review if there are any problems with durability or water, but so far it looks like they'll do the job fine, but don't expect them to be top shelf.
Everything went according to plan. I got it in a flash. There were a few tweaks I made. A painted steel frame supports the structure. There are both grounds and mounting screws securing the light to the surface. The result is a fragile, rust-prone installation due to the fact that each connection point (light to frame, frame to screw, screw to mounting surface) is vulnerable As a result, I made good positive ground by soldering a lead to the exposed ground wires. The hot glue holding the wire forward would also chafe and short out the running lights due to it sticking out too far from the mounting surface. To reach the back of the frame I heated the glue up significantly enough so I would be able to push the power wire sub flush with This opens up the possibility of returning the light with both of these 'tweaks. I would still return it, but I wouldn't want to deal with the cost.
*br1. There are two problems with this product 1. It is not waterproof. It makes no sense to connect LEDs with LED wiring
3. Despite being soldered properly, the electrical connectors are not assayed with this product. I bought two of these for my trailer as brake lights. One of the three LED sets failed within a week, only to be discovered the following week. In the week that followed, the other two flickered as well. A short while later it stopped working altogether. In the following month, the second LED bar was sold as well! I believe either the people who left 5 star reviews did so on the first week OR there was something extremely.
As compared to other similar ones I've used, I found the perfect brightness with them.
It's a small light bar for a very cheap price. Lights did the job, but were not spaced evenly, and one of them was out of alignment. Metal bar that the lights mount to is nice, although it is not a high quality item. I am re- I drilled and installed the lights anew to make them look far cleaner.
While I'll use it for my rarely used utility trailer, I would prefer that I spend a little more and get something more substantial.
I indentify holes as such. Exactly what I was looking for for my SeaRay boat trailer. To ensure that the holes in the trailer and the screw holes in the light bar are of industry standard, etc. , please measure first. It doesn't take more than five minutes to remove the old one and replace it with this. The brightness is much better than the factory unit.
The light in this picture is nice. Although grounded to the lights, it is attached to the frame. It was necessary to solder connect the ground screws of each light to an eyelet connector in order to get a solid.
