Yes. A 10A circuit can be used. Mine is tethered to a never-ending source of entertainment. on a 10 amp circuit with an on/off switch
Yes. Rather than connecting the black wire to your fuse box, connect it to your battery —. Then connect the red to the hot wire of a headlight or running light with a snap-on wire connector. I'm not sure how they could be on when either the headlight or the running light is on. When the running lights are turned on, mine turn on as well.

It looks fantastic! TO AVOID HAVING TO FISH WIRES THROUGH YOUR FIREWALL, DO THE FOLLOWING: Most instructions say to run the power wires all the way to the driver's pedal area, which I didn't like. As a result, I devised a more efficient method of accomplishing my goal. Read on to find out more. Several videos of this product being installed can be found on the internet. I was able to wire this into the fusebox under the hood and it clicks into place very quickly. Remove the cover from your truck's fuse box under the hood and look for the INJ fuse on the diagram printed inside. Remove the red 10 amp INJ fuse from the light kit and place it in the open fuse socket on the double fuse plug. Then, in the exact spot where the original red 10 amp INJ fuse was, insert the prongs of the double fuse plug into the original INJ fuse position on the fusebox board of your truck. Then, on the inside wall of the engine bay, next to the fuse box, connect the ground wire to the stock Toyota ground bolt. NOTE: With the wire protruding from the seam, I was able to close the truck's fuse box. There was no need to drill anything. As needed, zip tie the wires. When the ignition is turned on, the lights turn on. br>br>Installation is a breeze and takes only 15 minutes. The lighting is in excellent condition. The YouTube videos do a good job of explaining it.
The product itself is five stars, but I had some issues with it. I literally followed the four steps, then turned the key just enough to turn on the lights and verify that everything was working. I tried to start my 4runner after zip-tying everything, but it wouldn't start! So I was like, "WTF?" I replaced the original 10 fuse in the engine bay fuse box's INJ slot. My 4runner started, but the check engine light came on, TRAC was turned off, and the multi-function display was turned off. The message "terrain disabled" appeared on the screen. So, once again, WTF! After a few start-ups, that went away, and I looked at the reviews to see what others were doing. As a result, I followed the advice of a few people. I used the original 10 fuse and plugged it into the add-a-fuse. I reinserted the fuse connector that they provided into the INJ slot, and everything is now operational. A 2019 TRD OFF ROAD is the vehicle I drive.
Watch the video on YouTube. The instructions that come with the lights are a joke and completely useless. Since everyone else is using amber lights, I decided to go with white. They appear to be attractive.
Simply wrap a zip tie around the bottom of the light bracket so that the square head is directly behind you, as shown in the photo. It will fit snugly between the light bracket's back and the grill. Before you begin, you'll need to remove the top plastic cover to gain access to the grill's back. There are numerous videos on the internet that demonstrate how to do this as well as the wiring, which will necessitate running additional wire through the firewall. The lights are bright, and I'm pleased with my purchase so far, but I have yet to see how they hold up in a car wash!.
This was purchased for my 2020 Toyota TRD Off-Road vehicle. The lights did not come with any instructions, but that was not a problem because there are numerous videos on how to install them online. I had to install around the sensor on the 2020 model, and the lights did not fit as snugly as I thought they would on the 19' and below. To attach the lights to the grill, I had to use small 4in zip ties. The zip ties keep it in place nicely and are barely visible. I believe there is another review of someone who used zip ties and included a photo of the location where they were tied. Aside from that, I'm pleased with the lights, which enhance the appearance of the 4runner.
It's a great product that's also very simple to put together. It took roughly 20 minutes to complete. Overall, it took me 30 minutes. If the lights do not fit snugly into the grille, flip them over. Zip ties were used to connect the wires to the frame and to keep them together. Replaced the 10 amp fuse for headlights with a 15 amp jumper for lights and grounded it to an existing ground point near the fuse box. Bored a tiny hole in the fuse box base and lid with a drill to allow wire to fit snugly without being pinched.
Pros: br>These appear to be fantastic. It is relatively simple to set up. It appears to be of high quality. My fuse box was wired from the inside. I drilled a hole through the rubber plug in the firewall to keep the wires safe and dry. ish. The wiring was taped to a zip tie, which slipped right through the hole in the firewall. My SR5 grill has a Toyota symbol in the center, and the lights clip right into it. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>The fuse sticks out a lot from the fuse box, but that's not a big deal because I just cut a flap into the cover. br>On the grill, one of the lights was not properly clipped in (see photo). I tried several times to make it work, but the tabs would not clip in behind the grill like the others, no matter how hard I pushed. I e- I sent an email to the seller but never received a response. For the time being, it appears to be securely fixed, despite the fact that it is off-kilter. Only one of the clips is holding on to the set. For this, I deducted one star.
It's extremely simple to set up. I installed the engine compartment fuse box method, which took about an hour and a half, most of which was spent removing and replacing the cover to gain access to the grill. br>br>They're well-made and functional/aesthetically pleasing. br>br>I'll probably reinstall the connection so they only turn on when I turn on the lights. They're now turned on whenever my key is turned on. br>br>They are a simple and easy modification that I would recommend to anyone looking to 'nice up' their SUV.
