My S-model car from the year 2000 The dry heat is brutal on a car or truck's interior, and 10 of them hail from the Midwest. I looked for a defrost vent grill and came across this package, which was very reasonably priced. However, take caution when removing the old one. You'll need the metal clips for the new defrost vent grill, and if you're not careful, they'll disappear down the vent. I was lucky enough to save seven of the eight that it should have, and it still fits well. In general. It's an excellent deal.
The only thing these parts have going for them is that they are simple to put together. br>br>After installing, I went on the hunt for one. They melted and twisted in this form (picture above) after only one day and I came out the next day in regular California heat. br>br>Very cheaply made cheap material will not be buying from here again.
Everything was exactly where it needed to be. However, the center hole for the sensor was missing from the defroster vent, so I had to drill it out and do some minor fabrication to get the sensor to fit where it needed to be. Everything else was in place.
My speaker covers and vent were cracked and falling apart, so I had to replace them. When removing the old vent, take care not to drop any pieces into the vent. Fit well.
For a 1999 S10 pickup, this item is a perfect fit and color match.
This was installed on a 2000 GMC Sonoma and fit perfectly. It doesn't match the dash, but that's fine; I believe you're supposed to do it yourself, but I'm not sure. Because my truck is always outside, the sun has taken its toll on these components. They just crumbled in my hands when I took them out. I'm overjoyed to have these new ones.
Commitment. Except for the light sensor holder on the right-hand speaker grill, everything fits like a glove. br>It's possible that a little JB Weld ruined any chance of a refund. However, it performed as if by magic.
I was able to restore the truck's appearance. br>When trying to remove the old grill, it broke into a million pieces. br>Vacuum up the pieces or the defrosters will rattle around.
