F10 Grille,Front Replacement Kidney Grille Grill Compatible With 2010-2017 5 Series F10 F11 F18 M5 (Gloss Black)

These knock-offs arrived in my mailbox. I didn't want to paint my original M Sport grills, so I used kidney grills instead. When I discovered that the OEM product costs around $180 for a pair, I decided to give these Chinese knockoffs a try for around $40. These parts aren't interchangeable with original equipment manufacturer parts. While the paint quality was very glossy, my grills arrived with a few broken tabs and a white residue trapped beneath the clearcoat, likely from wet sanding before they were cleared. I was going to return them, but since I have an ample supply of automotive paint materials on hand, I decided to simply refinish the grill and repair the tabs, which took about four hours to repaint and clearcoat. Unless you have nothing better to do than redo someone else's shoddy work and have the skills and materials on hand, I wouldn't recommend these to anyone. When I try to install these, I fully expect more tabs to break off. Simply purchase the BMW components, be satisfied, and move on. br>As a side note, I ordered a second set of these for a different vehicle. They arrived about 30 minutes ago, and while the paint quality is better, one of them had a broken fastener tab in the box when I opened it this time. It's time to get the epoxy out of the cupboard once more. br>Think of it as a cautionary tale.

I installed these in under 5 minutes. The old ones popped right out with just a little bit of a firm pull, and the new ones popped right in with no problems, just line them up and press. I can literally exchange old and new while waiting for the Wify on my way out to dinner; it's surprisingly simple. They look great, to be honest. Of course, they're made of hard plastic rather than metal, but neither are the OEMs, so it's a perfect match. Don't be hesitant to purchase; I'm very pleased with mine.

Glass black is a fantastic choice. In my 2016 535i M Package, it was a perfect fit. Install was difficult and time-consuming; don't just rip out the original front grills unless you want to snap all the clips and be unable to replace them if necessary.

It wasn't easy to install my F10, so don't try the pull and rip method. Pull the weatherstrip off with the screws from behind the bumper and press the small plastic clips.

The stock grilles were extremely difficult to remove. They were pretty well caked in. I used the muscle it out method, so there isn't a lot of finesse here. The only criticism I have is that when installing the grille, a few of the clips missed the mark and went under the slots, requiring me to pull the grille back and realign it. It's most likely a case of user error. br>br>The job has been completed, and the installation has gone smoothly. It looks fantastic! I'd suggest it.

This is an excellent match. It's beautifully painted. The old grill is difficult to remove, so the installation rating is only three stars. You must remove screws and get behind the bumper skin, which is not the fault of the seller. Look up helpful hints on YouTube and do some research.

You get what you pay for, I suppose. The black color is a little too shiny. It doesn't match the front grill's other black elements. Installation is difficult, and the parts don't fit together well; for the price, I'd expect more.

These grills had a lot of potential for me to fall in love with them. For my BMW F10, they looked fantastic right out of the box. However, the construction is of low-cost, high-gloss plastic. Before I could even start installing, several clips snapped. Purchase OEM parts to save money.
