There is a cutout in the left rear flare for the gas cap on this style. These will not work if you put them on anything other than It looks ridiculous to cut out the gas cap on a bed 8 feet long. Go for one of those styles instead of the other style that works for bed lengths that are longer.

There are a few cons to this review To be honest, I completely thought the rivet bolts attached to the side of the panel. Was afraid the clips wouldn't secure flares enough to prevent them from tearing off as the vehicles went at highway speeds. There is no space for the torx tool that comes with the kit. Aside from a 8mm socket, every tool I have is useless to me. The old front factory screws are worn and rusty, so it would have been nice to receive some new ones with the kit. Those are the only cons I can think of. We now turn to
I went to a local paint store and purchased adhesion promoter, factory paint, and The fenders must be cleaned before they can be painted! To make sure the screws and nuts are extra just in case a To the truck, the flares fit snug and snug. Be very careful on the highway, don't move or flap at all! I found the installation to be easy and the instructions to follow were clear and informative. It took about two hours for the installation to be completed. This excuse got me to tell my wife that I was in need of There is also a Hellwig helper spring kit and a 5inch level kit. A better alternative to bushwhackers. BRITISH SHIPPING AT FAST SPEED! Several camping and off-road trips have led me to this new discovery. I will update in 3 months.
I bought these flares in order to cover up rust that develops on the wheel wells of my 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck. Previously I painted these flares at a local body shop before installing them on my truck due to its silver color. Out of the box, they looked decent enough, but they would be better if they were painted to match your truck or to provide a more This installation took approximately 4 hours, but I had to grind down the rust bubbles and cover them with POR-15 Fender flares must be installed at least 15 minutes prior to installation. The prep is probably not necessary, but if you want to keep your rust from returning quickly, I would recommend it. Installing the system is fairly straightforward, but I suggest reading the instructions before beginning. Due to my mistake, I threw them away (on accident) and had no idea how much rubber gasket to apply to started moving it along all of the flares and it ended up being approximately 10 inches too short to fit. I emailed Tyger Auto customer service and they responded very quickly and took action as soon as I informed them of the problem. The store will send me a new set of hardware and spare gasket material, free of charge. This company offers excellent quality fender flares and solid customer service. I will definitely refer friends to them in the future!.
In the beginning, I was sceptical about buying this set because of the price. I didn't purchase the cheapest set, but neither did I purchase the most expensive one. In my 2010 Silverado, I have a bead that is rusting over the wheels like many other GM truck owners. It was easy for me to pick these up, let my buddy paint them to match, and install The first thing I did was sand down my rust areas, prime them, and apply 3M cavity wax to the inside of the bed where the rust was originating. I followed the directions provided for installation and it went smoothly. In addition to offering a great fit, the rubber gasket protects the finish of your car. Here is the trick to install it Remove the backing of the gasket while you are installing the flare, and then put the gasket on it. When you have finished adhering the paper, press down to seal it. Several extras were also included in the set. The components were high quality and had some extras. The reviews mention that they don't lay completely flat on the floor. I had no such issue with these. After laying them in the sun while preparing for installation, I put them in the sun again. You can now wear them. If you are experiencing gaps between your mounting points, you can shorten them by adjusting the mounting points. You can't beat the price for this kit. Feel confident about your purchase.
I was very satisfied with the product, as well as the shipping time. There's a lot of flair on these flares. The ones that are not whimpy and thin. The reason I was worried was because of that. Their look is very bushwhacker-like. Exactly what I had hoped for. The product was great, the price was great, and the company was great too. It would be great to get one of their stickers for my truck, since their logo is even cooler! They also have more products that I will be buying. They already have tow mirrors for our vehicle and they are fantastic.
They were primarily purchased to fill in some bubbles at the rear fender wells, which were caused by a past rust repair. However, I found that the description of how they would fit my 2008 extended cab Silverado was incomplete. A set of flares for a shorter bed truck was sent to me. Don't forget to check what you need for the As for the quality and looks, they were exactly what I had hoped for. may be a bit challenging for the rear set since screw holes may not line up precisely. If necessary, drill new holes. With a couple of spring-type hand clamps, I found that I could position the flairs and make installation easier. The installer only has to do one thing to install it. 15 minutes later, flares went off on the front. The only thing that could have been better is a HELP line that could assist with measuring the order, but I didn't find one.
This was ordered as a means of covering the typical rust that occurs on Chevy beds and fenders. I have an '08 Silverado 1500. There was such severe rust in the bed that you could almost put your hand through it on the passenger side, and almost as much rust on the driver's side. Because of the gas tank lid, installing these was a bit difficult because it was hard to line up the rear flare perfectly on the drivers side. As a result, for the rears, I did buy heavier stainless screws and clips to attach to the inside edges of the fenders as I didn't mind screwing into the lip/edges of them, as they were awful at the time. Those screws were used to attach the fronts to the fender/wheel wells. Because of how severe the rust is, we will have to wait and see if they will hold. The flares fit well except for one area at the The fender was bent before, so I think that's why it's so crooked right now. It was obvious when I bought them that I had to remove the z71 decals from the bed, but that wasn't a major concern. To make it look more powerful, I will probably add some lift kit as well as new beefier tires (which it needs anyway), as well as some new chrome. The only thing I do is off-road and mudding, but I thought this would cover up the ugly rust and it does a great job.
