You're probably right, get out there and look for
The one we had did not. Nonetheless, I found that it snapped into place quite easily. A clip is supposed to be included, so that's why I found it strange that it didn't So far, we haven't had any issues with it popping off or feeling loose (though that clip seems like it would provide some initial piece of mind during installation).
It's a mystery to me. There is a part for a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier that you can purchase, but check to make sure it fits before you purchase. A & B You can send it back if it doesn't fit just because it wasn't the right size
I do not have any hardware. I had to use some lubricant, but I did not require any as it slid perfectly over my shift lever and made my 2004 Cavalier feel brand

The shift knob is becoming difficult to operate. I hate it. I found this shift lever knob after watching several youtube videos and searching the web for a while. The old clip (facing the dashboard) has been removed. The staple resembles a huge screw, and you just pull it out with a flat screwdriver (thank you, youtube video person), pulling the knob off, sliding the new knob on, and reattaching it The clip has been inserted. And there you have it! It's working The problem is not my fault. Happy to have been chosen. We will now return to our normal lives.
Although others had good experiences with this, my own was not that good. To begin with, I compared it to the broken one that I had, and I realized right away that the new one is much cheaper We found that the vinyl and buttons were looser and less sturdy than we thought they would be. when it comes to an aftermarket part, that is to be expected, and because I needed the part right away, I wasn't too worried about it. Additionally, we were talking about a 14 year ancient car, so I was ready for the challenge. Sadly, it wouldn't fit even when tapped with a rubber mallet or if I tried to install it while the car was I will have to pay around $10 or so more tomorrow at the dealership to get a new one. Honestly, even if this part did fit, I think it is only worth about $25 if I can get a factory OEM one for $45 (and can be acquired for even less from online retailers, including Amazon whose is cheaper than this (but does not qualify for Prime).
I had my clip from the previous knob so it was easy to use. With the way the clip snapped into place, I didn't feel like it really needed a clip when I placed this on my Cavalier. My clip was installed with the old clip that was very difficult to install, requiring me to hammer it into place with just the right angle so that the clip was positioned just so. This is a very solid piece. You probably do not need the clip, if you do not have it. My analysis of other online stores showed that this was the most affordable.
There was a lot of slack and looseness in the auto shifter knob of my '04 Cavalier. In the beginning I attempted to replace the clip which looked like a huge staple, but the old knob was actually cracked so it didn't help in the long run. I feel like I have a brand new knob again after replacing the old one with this one.
The quotation I received was between $37 and $45, but I will take anywhere from 2 to 3 days It takes 4 days to ship a package. According to the quote, shipping was not included in the $37. The product is available for $22 plus tax on Amazon. I will get them for $30 total and they will ship to my door in a few There's no cost! My first reaction was to think it was missing a piece (a pin to secure it in place), but that wasn't the case. I guess that was an internal part of my old one that broke. I installed that sucker without a problem and it is working perfectly.
It clips right in once pushed on to the rod it sits on. It fits exactly as it should. There is no need to use tools to put it In some cases, you may need to release a clip, but I did not have to do that with mine since it was missing the clip when I bought the car and I just had to slide it If you're going to take yours off you should watch videos on how to do it. The other thing is that the clip simply clips onto the mirror once it is attached.
I expected that it would fit perfectly. Should you not have a retainer clip, and do not want the mirror to slide off, you need to purchase one separately. There was a 6 dollar price tag on it on amazon, which seemed a little higher than it should be.
I am pleased with the outcome Be sure to buy the small clip that holds the handle in place so that the handle won't slide off.
