This guy has a swing and a miss with updated information
4/5

We were unable to use this size because of the ridges on the roof of our 2007 Escalade EXT. Regardless of how I measured, it was a bust. Although it is listed as having a size range of 38 to 42. Sunroof claims to be 5" (the Escalade has 36"), but in reality is 40 to 50 inches It has a width of 41 inches at the wide end, which falls right on the ridges mentioned above. For my next size down, I ordered (part #77003), which says it is for up to 35 inches. A new sunroof will also be installed on the XT5 but I pray it will be a little larger than specified. As an upside, the bigger one fits my buddy's RAV4 so I didn't have to send it back. AVS products have been my go-to products for years, and there is no doubt regarding their Listed specs for these "Windflectors" need to be more specific. Here's an update The #77003 part was just about big enough to fit our Ext, but not quite. There is no difference between the width and length as long as you place the leading edge a few inches ahead of the opening. Overall the purchase was satisfactory, though I would have given 5 stars if there had been an "in between" size.

A product larger than 38 inches
3/5

In fact, the product is 40" long rather than 38". The item is described as item "5". Because of the ridges along the roof top, it is about an inch too long to fit Sierra pickups. Product would be 38 if only 38 was available. If it were 5" it would fit just fine. The smaller size indicated as 35 may be correct. The diameter of the tube should be 5". Having called the company before I ordered, I made sure this would be the right fit for my pick up. Therefore, I ordered it since they told me that was the right one. Their product is not the right one, they told me lies.

I had one from a different manufacturer just like the previous one
3/5

A similar product of another brand had been previously ordered it was returned because it did not fit my vehicle, despite the fact that it was listed as fitting. Prior to ordering this part, I contacted the factory to inquire whether it would be compatible with my Chevy Avalanche (2012 model). The answer to my question is yes. My next question was the overall height and width of the shade, and if it was the inside or outside side. For this to match up with the sunroof edge and the roof ridges, there is a restricted space between the sunroof edge and the roof ridges. I initially had no idea what I was talking about when I approached the rep. It was only after I explained the question repeatedly that I was told that the dimension I had been given was the outside dimension overall. My only problem was that it was the inside size, and the shade, just like the previous one I bought from another manufacturer, was too wide to fit my car's doors. The worst thing you can expect is when a manufacturer doesn't have the slightest idea on how to publish a functional spec for their product and their help technicians don't even know what inside measurements are.

I would rate this product a 10/10, but it does not fit my The rigidity of a suburban roof is provided by ribs running down the roof
4/5

There are two running along the sides of the sunroof that interfere with the placement of Windflectors. Also, the Windflector cannot be relocated forward to avoid the ribs due to an antenna (tall black fin) mounted above the windshield. I will be exchanging for product #77003 (fits sizes 35 and up. The fifth day). However, the leading edge of the Suburban sunroof is just 35 inches in width, while the majority measures 36 inches. These are 5" in diameter In this case, the Windflector is tall enough to not get in the way of the sunroof opening. We have used these products on previous vehicles and they are great! It shouldn't be a problem! Hope the smaller one fits fine!.

I don't think it's a good fit for the 09 Silverado, and the sunroof makes wind noise when it's The full review can be found here

A replacement item was immediately sent to make things right after the first item didn't arrive. It states you should leave 1 inch on each side of the sunroom, so I purchased it accordingly. As a result, it measured For me, 5 inches is the right length. Despite this, the visor is too long and does not provide a very comfortable Perhaps I could have gotten away with a step down in size, since I drive a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. As well, since installing, I have noticed that the visor makes a noise that sounds almost like leaves are stuck around it when open. Upon closer inspection, nothing appears to be sticking out of or near the visor that would cause it to do so. Consequently, I assume that the problem is caused by the visor seal. The idea of removing everything is being considered.

I couldn't stand it because it was too tall
3/5

This product seemed to fit well, but it was really tall from the roofline

and it had a weird flare at the top that I didn't like. I had to go with one from another company which was much more low profile and all one shape.

At slow speeds, it's fine
3/5

I really like how this shade went on smoothly and stayed on, and at low speeds, it works quite well to quiet the cabin when the roof is Nevertheless, at about 25 to 30 years old As the plastic in the car vibrates at 30 mph, pressure waves are generated in the vehicle. The best way to stop them is (a) to reach up and hold the deflector with one hand or (b) to open a window just The second option usually works for me here, but you get a bunch of wind noise as well, which sort of defeats the purpose. I definitely would have given this an even higher rating if it had been.

Has a quality feel and doesn't look cheap
4/5

I must say this is not crap for the price. Upon mounting it to my Saturn Vue 08, I noticed it was a half-inch off on one side. Side to side, it's even, but forward to back on one side it's a little As much as I tried to pull it back up on one side, it would not stay up. It's been good from the beginning to the end. It was necessary for me to cut 3 half inch notches in the tape for the There might be a problem with water pooling on the windshield because of the slope. With my sunroof open, I don't hear the helicopter in my Vue nearly as much after I put that on. I drove around a bit after putting it on and it helped with the wind noise. I am only worried about the water pooling when it rains when I flatten the roof. I think the roof will take care of the rest of the noise.
