It's not clear to me. There was a problem fitting the plate to me because I have a 2009 Tacoma. Taking off my old belt and putting it on my new motor was a big deal for me. Plastic gears are used on the motor, but it works fine. It takes my old motor gears 10 years to wear out, but if I make my gears out of iron, they will.
