The reservoir is too small to accommodate it

It is excessively large and fails to close the reservoir. I have a 1995 mustang that has all of the original parts except for the cap. If they knew the opening/cap measurements - would be of great assistance. Yes, I'm writing this months after purchasing it because I've only recently had the opportunity to work on it (project car).
