This supercrew lariat has a 4L configuration. Sometimes, my truck would just click while it was trying to start. After noticing that the battery cable connections were corroded, I decided to replace the entire battery cable assembly (as each terminal is a separate unit, so I thought it wouldn't be easy to replace the entire assembly). My cable assembly installation took a few hours, but I wasn't too difficult (I don't know how to do it). It took a lot of work to unscrew the radiator bonnet and shift it a few inches to the side so I could get my wrench back to the bolt securing the battery cable assembly to the frame (that was the most challenging During the process of removing the old battery cable assembly, I discovered that my starter (located under the car) was also badly corroded and had broken apart. As a result, I bought a replacement starter on Amazon (by DB Electrical) for about $50 and installed it myself. In contrast to replacing the battery cable assembly for which there was limited information online, there is plenty of information available about replacing the starters (so if you have to do those two jobs at the same time, you are in luck). I'm very happy with the purchase! Now, the truck starts perfectly every time.
It took a short time to replace the part. As aftermarket sets do not incorporate the frame ground cable, you will have to cut it and crimp it on the original one in order to use the aftermarket one. Rather than spend your time and money on multiple sets, purchase these.
I was surprised how well it worked. The product is of high quality.
I am satisfied with the fit on my 2004 Ford It is a 4WD vehicle with four wheels. The retaining clip was the only one that was Since the clip nearest the starter was too large and did not fit in the original hole, it could not There is no problem with it in my opinion.
The starter is a much needed part for a 2008 F150 over with a new Bosch starter installed along side it and it helps the truck start a lot better. Be sure to check on the Motorcraft website which one you need as this one fits a 2005 Ford F-150. I also added a new battery to my 2008F 150.
During the 3-day shipping period, the product arrived. Exactly what I needed. These symptoms include In some versions of the Starter, the only time it would click was when it We wiggled the starter end of the wires to make it It took 2 hours to fix the problem with a new cable.
Plugs and sockets from original equipment manufacturers. The starter on my vehicle had corroded, and it was not working all the time. It was replaced, and it has not exhibited any problems since.
I replaced my 2004 FX4 with a factory replacement and it fit perfectly.
