There's nothing like getting out on the water after clicking a few times to get a start on the dock and then realizing you're about 10 minutes away. Turn it off to swim, then turn it back on to hear more clicks. click. click. Well, fear not, this is your solution in about 3 fwords due to location, and 15 minutes later, you will no longer be able to hear the click. This thing has been working flawlessly for over a year, and we still haven't had any issues, despite the fact that it was an OEM part rather than a cheaper alternative available on this site. Now it's back to seeing if I can submerge this thing.
I used this product to replace an OEM part on a 2007 SeaDoo GTI SE130; it was simple to remove the cowling for better access, but it was also simple to install. My boat was making a "clicking" sound when trying to start, and this appears to have fixed the problem.
Although there are OEM options, I believe this is one component that should be as reliable as possible. A seal on the packaging stated that it was OEM and that if the seal was broken, it should be returned. In minutes, it was up and running, with the dreaded click - click - click - The engine was changed from not turning over and starting on the first try to turning over and starting on the second try.
The solenoid was a perfect fit for my 2006 Seadoo GTX Limited. Ensure that the hardware from your old solenoid is not discarded. This one will necessitate the use of hardware.
I bought these for my 2005 Sea Doo GTX 4 TEC because the original solenoid was giving me a lot of clicks instead of starts. My jet ski started right up after it was installed. The product is of excellent quality.
In the last two years, I've replaced two aftermarket starter relays. This one didn't work at all and instead provided me with an engine code. I got the OEM Seadoo one for around $50 and it works great. I thought I'd save a few dollars by doing so, but I've since learned my lesson.
I installed it myself on a 2007 RXP Seadoo and it worked right away. I've used it three times now. Since then, he has proven to be trustworthy four times.
It's a pain to install this solenoid, but it's worth it to get the original so you only have to replace it once for the rest of your jet ski's life.
