It's a good investment
5/5

Like some of the other options, the product was readily available, and I attempted to purchase it first only to be refunded my money. However, it is slightly more expensive than other calibrators. It can be adjusted all the way down to the. The change in the speedo ratio is 0. 0001%. To get the numbers you really want, you might have to lie to the software about your tire size. Taking an accurate GPS speedo reading ahead of time and comparing it to your speedometer, on the other hand, will make the installation a breeze. I only needed one initial calibration to get my speedometer to zero, and it wasn't even close. I went from stock small tires to four-wheel drive. To 315/17r16 and 5, use 10 gears. 29 gears. At 60 mph, the speedo was 15 miles per hour off. I'm very pleased with the product; however, you must have access to a PC that runs Windows. This is what the speedometer box is calibrated with. Apple is not one of them. 🤙.

It does exactly what it claims
4/5

The installation is aided by the use of clear photographs in the instructions. They only apply to one model year, so you'll have to adapt to a few minor differences in order to get the inside of the dashboard apart and install the device; I don't do much work on cars, so it took me about two hours. In an hour, I believe I could complete one. I couldn't get my computer to connect to the module, so I had to use a spare computer to complete the task. Although tech support is closed on weekends, they responded on Monday with instructions on how to get a faulty computer to work. I didn't need them because it was already installed at that point, but they did respond to my email inquiry. The software that controls the speed-adjustment module is infinitely variable, but there are no instructions included. I knew my speed was off by around 9%, but you can not enter 9% any place to change it. You must enter different tire sizes or gear ratios to accomplish this. The first combination I tried was changing from 16 inch tires to 15 inch tires and getting a 9% change. I used that combination to set the module, and it worked perfectly. The gadget does exactly what it says on the tin. My speedometer is now in sync with my navigation system. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the issues I mentioned earlier.

This is simply not true
3/5

There is no way to change the correction ratio manually. To try to dial in a correction using Hypertech's tool, you must reduce the tire size. For instance: br> I'm switching from 265 x 75 x R16 to 285 x 70 x R16 on my Tacoma. A 1:1 ratio is suggested by the tool. 07 . The problem is that the actual ratio required for my tires is closer to one. 679 The diameter of each tire varies a little bit. In addition, the diameter of the tire will change as it wears. Change the tire size from 265 x 75 x R16 to 282 x 70 x R16 in their tool to lower the ratio. This brings it closer, but it's still not exact. br>I contacted Hypertech, who confirmed that there is no direct way to change the ratio. The ratio is displayed in an uneditable field in the Hypertech Software tool. Why would they make a product that is difficult to use on purpose? Someone doesn't seem to understand or care about their clients.
If all you need is a rough ball park, this product will get you inside 2010%. That level of precision is unacceptable to me. (1000 miles = 900 miles) It would be acceptable if it were a low-cost Chinese version, but not for a $200 item. I'll keep looking for a replacement speedometer calibration that is accurate.

As of now, everything is working as it should
4/5

As of now, it performs as expected; it's been installed for a few weeks and there have been no problems. The only criticism I have is that I had to disassemble the dash about ten times to get the device calibrated properly. The tire size ratio settings were off, so I had to fiddle with the numbers until it was close.
