Selected User Reviews For Remflex 6002 Exhaust Gasket for Mopar V8 Engine, (Set of 2)
In my 440, I've tried several different brands of header gaskets, and they all blow out on the right side after a few weeks, resulting in the dreaded exhaust tick. These are unique in that they are significantly thicker than the others, allowing them to compensate for warped surfaces. br>I've had them on for a few months and they sound fantastic on my Mopar big block. br>These gaskets come highly recommended by me.
Gaskets are the best I've ever seen. The only header gaskets I'll ever use, and the only ones I tell everyone about. These are the only gaskets you should buy if your exhaust system is leaking.
On a 1978 Dodge 440, this part was used. On the heads, there was a machinized lip. The headers were unable to pull up and seal because of the lip. It was a thick gasket that did the trick.
These gaskets are quite substantial. I haven't started the motor yet, but it should work now that it has been compressed to about half of its original size.
This is without a doubt the best header gasket available. You won't want to use anything else once you've tried them. Header leaks are no longer a problem. Just make sure they're not bended.
It appeared that everything was in order. If it holds up over time, only time will tell.
Excellent product.
This set of gaskets worked great on my set of headers and there were no leaks!.
