My 1928 Franklin Auto had some fuel problems, so I bought this pump to resolve them. In a previous article I read that someone had run the pump at 6V but in my experience, that was not After the unit was primed, it quieted down dramatically, but it was very loud until it was primed. Instead of the vein pump I was expecting, I am dealing with a pulse type pump. It may radiate some of that pulsing noise into the frame as well as into the cab if it is mounted directly to the frame. Using this pump in the correct application is a good choice.
As a general suggestion, attach a relay to your ignition switch when replacing your non-electric pump with this one. Then run a hot wire from your battery to the relay, then connect the pump to the hot wire with a roll over switch or You should buy a spare in case you need it.
It was the 25 gph, not the 34. This is what I used on an AAR 1000 cfm Holly carb 390 with a 2bbl Holly carburetor. This is the 25 gph model, not the 34, and it worked just fine there was no lean or fuel starvation even at WOT. I chose this one since it only requires 4 psi, and I won't need a regulator. It seems that I was always having problems with flow when using regulators, and I would recommend using Holly fuel filters rather than paper kind since paper ones tend to mess up pumps. ".
to be a good quality product. I think it will last a lot longer than the first $10-$20 That is the one I bought for $15. This model of air conditioner comes with an outlet filter made of high-quality metal.
In the cabin there is too much noise coming from it.
On a 67' Land Rover, I replaced the mechanical pump. Fuel pumps have been replaced every two years since I started doing this. This will be monitored to see how well it holds up.
The price was right for the quality of the product.
