The Baja doodlebug sat in the corner of the garage for three years before I got it! I replaced the Carburetor with this after the proper regular maintenance was completed and now it is running. There was no deadness in this product - it fit well and I was very happy with it.
Despite the appearance, everything is not as it seems. While yes, it is mounted, as far as I know, gas is not getting into the intake chamber. I am working with it, but it does sound like a carb problem, I can put fuel directly into plug chamber, and it will pop once or twice, but it won't start. Be sure to double and triple check the gas and choke to make sure they are on. In order to make sure I had the throttle in the right place, I even adjusted the throttle. In the event that it still won't, I would think I'd have to take the old carb and rebuild it using the new parts that came with the new carb. The price of this was not so high that I couldn't take the chance, just seems like there might be an orifice not drilled out when the machine was made? Having the ability to work on this stuff is a blessing, and I will let you know later what the outcome is. It was worth it to me just to get the parts to rebuild the old machine.
With this carb, my DB30 Doodlebug is pretty much identical to what it came with from the factory, but after swapping it in with the original carb, and making some adjustments, my kids are able to This is the first time in 5 years that the machine has run for more than two The current state of the economy is still severely underdeveloped The system runs perfectly now, but it was still underpowered.
Sadly the carburetor I bought did not come with a throttle return spring, so I had to coax the old one off and carefully replace the new one on top of it, then adjust the fuel inlet nipple angle from straight to 1 There is nothing I could complain about other than that. As a result, my son's monster Moto MM80 turned on on the third pull and ran perfectly without having to make.
I like it a lot. In a nutshell, Although the product fit perfectly, the gaskets were difficult to figure out which one goes where since they don't match the originals, and there are no directions. (HINT Use the third gasket on the right. A small round shape without bumps on the bottom is for carbs and bicycles In 2011, the second small gasket with the circle bump on the bottom lines up with the exhaust to carb) the large gasket is for more recent We are back on our feet once These parts will be ordered from this seller as well.
No matter what I tried, it never worked. It did not cost enough for me to send it back, so it might have been an isolated incident. Every batch contains at least one or two bad ones. There is no such thing as a cheap carb. The luck of the draw is often involved. Don't worry, I'm not saying to pass on buying You just have to be cautious.
I found the item to be an exact match and the price was reasonable. It leaks gas after using it only for about 30 minutes. I just sit there and it leaks out. Every time I close the valve, I have to shut it off. This is the first time I've sent email about it without a response. The shippers in no way are responsible for this defect, however it still leaks gas when the engine is shut off.
