Questions & Answers
070185ES is the part number for this filter.
I'm not sure, but on an internal combustion engine, any high-quality oil filter should work.
Is it possible for me to use this filter (070185E 90mm) as a The 7000 EXL (070185 75mm) is a smaller version of the former.

This oil filter is NOT as large as my original oil filter. The seller enlarged the image of the filter to make it appear larger than it actually is. It's the same size as the oil filter I had before. Buying on Amazon seems to be a gamble these days. You never know whether or not you'll get what's advertised. There are far too many sellers who deceive or lie to their customers.
It was installed the day before yesterday. It was a cinch to use. Because I couldn't find an accurate size anywhere on the listing, I added it to the title. You'll need it for the filter wrench.
After visiting the generic site, I discovered that the 70185E had been discontinued and replaced by the ES. Same features and benefits as before and the filter no longer says 30% more and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and and I've also seen posts where people say they use service dealers to avoid voiding their warranties. Although the agreement specifies that it "should" be done by a certified dealer, you should be fine as long as you perform routine maintenance and keep good records.
To double-check the part number, I called GENERAC - Despite the fact that it appears to be the same as the existing filter, I wanted to double-check, and yes, it is the correct one. It looks exactly like my old filter when compared side by side. It's simple to set up and take down. I also ordered the oil from Amazon (it only takes about two quarts). A YouTube video on how to change the filter is recommended. It only took five minutes from start to finish, including draining the oil. It's not a knockoff, it's the real deal. It is highly recommended.
070185F is no longer available as an OEM filter for my model. This one came highly recommended, and it was a good fit. I'm clueless when it comes to cost-effectiveness and sheerness. It took less than a week to receive the items. New oil was installed by Number One Son. He used Mobil 1 oil 5W30, which is synthetic. Everything was completed in a timely manner and appears to be in good working order.
Be careful what you buy: These clowns don't send you the standard filter, but rather the one with an extended life, as shown in the image. I paid $30 on eBay for three extended protection filters.
The OEM replacement oil filter is excellent; however, because replacing the filter is a bit messy, it is best to place a pan underneath it before removing the old one and have a bag nearby. At a gas station, recycle with the oil.
There are no differences between these two generac filters. The 70185E filter came with my 22kw when I purchased it new in March. This filter 70185ES was ordered, and it is identical to the description state. Anyone who claims otherwise is wrong.
