Is this pipe factory-welded to accept the original hangers, or is it just a straight piece of pipe without any fittings?

You are welcome to contact me. A welded hanger is not attached to the Walker 43297 Intermediate pipe. In order to install the bracket, you will need a 2 1/2" clamp and a 35362 bracket.

Is there a size difference in the inlet / ?

Please let me know how big the inlet of your boat is. There is a diameter of 5 inches INSIDE and a diameter of 2 inches ON THE OUTSIDE. Accordingly, measure the OUTSIDE diameter as follows 5 inches.

It is easy to install

Despite its extra length, the pipe still has plenty of usable space. As soon as I cut it, I made sure it was the right length. Neither the catalytic converter nor the tail pipe had any problems fitting it.
