How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

RESISTANCE TO CORROSION -- Aluminized steel construction and internal drainage enhance corrosion resistance
A BUILT TO LAST system allows internal partitions and mechanically joined tubes to expand and contract during temperature changes to minimize distortion. Spin-locked heads and spot welds provide stability and provide a longer service life.
A FLEXIBLE SOLUTION -- The customizable design is installed with expandable bushings for easy fitment, and may require special fabrication and/or welding to achieve the desired result
Sound quality that is similar to factory-style is achieved when the tubes have louvered surfaces. Straight perforated tubes tend to radiate more noise
DESIGNED AND TESTED TO LASTS MORE MINUTES - Designed and tested to last longer than your previous exhaust

Questions & Answers

Would you mind telling me how quiet this is? I have had a growler installed on my car at some point, and I am trying to get it back to factory standard. ?

I like the way it sounds and it was a direct fit. It makes a nice rumble at idle by the tailpipe, but inside the cab it sounds like a factory exhaust.

If this muffler is $30 cheaper than Rock Auto and the rest is at Rock Auto, would I be foolish to buy it here? Furthermore, how do I connect each piece to the next?

There's a possibility this isn't the one I purchased. When I did buy it, it worked beautifully, and was extremely $50 was all that was required to have the old one removed and the new one installed / welded on.

For my 2003 Frontier, I am seeking a quiet OEM exhaust pipe. Is this the right size?

*here, this muffler is not listed in the catalog or designed for the vehicle you are driving. It might be possible, however, to modify and customize the exhaust system to fit this vehicle if it is

This is the perfect fit! The sound is smooth and quiet The 2002 Silverado K1500 4 was supplied with it
5/5

The V8 engine has a displacement of 8 liters. This muffler was installed to replace a Flowmaster Super 10 (basically an open exhaust system without any sort of muffler) that the previous owner had installed because, despite sounding cool at idle and low speeds, the Flowmaster really droned at highway speeds. There was no end to it. It made me want to scream when the stereo was turned up to full volume To try and drown out the exhaust drone, we rattled the volume all the way up. As such, I installed this Walker muffler to return the truck's original sound as closely as it could be to the OEM. Sadly, the factory pipe was the same diameter as the inlet, so I installed a 2 inch pipe instead. It measures 75" in diameter by 2" in height. The exhaust coupler features a 75" length and 2 2 inlets. A 75" U-shaped tube There are four bolt exhaust clamps on the Inlet and two bolt clamps on the Outlet. I used an OEM tailpipe I found at the junkyard for $4 slid right into the Outlet, which was then capped with a second tailpipe. A 75" U-shaped tube A bolt is used to secure the exhaust clamp. There were already 2 hanger pegs on the tailpipe for the factory mounting pegs, and one peg is located on the exhaust pipe leading to the intake side. After installing the clamps and rubber hangers, the muffler felt solid, and the truck started right The idle now runs smoothly and quietly without any thunder or growl. There can still be some noise from the engine, but it is much A drone of any speed does not exist. This must have been what the original Chevy exhaust sounded like when it was new before the last owner put that stupid Flowmaster Super 10 on it with no tailpipe. I was wondering if acceleration would change, but now the truck accelerates just as quickly, but feels a lot better. My favorite part of it is the music. Quite a deal at about $27 for a quality exhaust. Prime members receive free shipping on orders over $100. The most amazing thing I've ever seen The value of the stock is dropping. It would not be possible for me to be.

I've got the Fits and the In sum, this is a full, 100% pickups both the inlet and outlet are offset
5/5

This is the Walker part number 18138. It has a 75 inch OD and thin wall. There are a lot of reviews that give low marks We gave it a one-star rating and complained because it is not a "direct replacement". " This is a direct replacement for certain Sierras and Silverados. 4 things you need to know. The 3 V6 uses this muffler, and it is likely that this is the case with most unleaded gasoline engines. A diesel motor's exhaust muffler seems to be different from a gas motor's. Make sure the muffler is long enough and that the piping entering and exiting the muffler has the correct diameter by measuring it again. As a result, I was able to replace a noisy, rotted muffler that was shaking the interior of my truck. And even at cruising speeds, I had to turn Spotify up to 40 in order to even hear It's so refreshing to know you're okay. The hole in the muffler on my Silverado was the loudest exhaust I've ever heard, even when I had loud exhausts on cars and trucks my whole life. This isn't stainless, so you may want to add a coat of high temperature paint if you live in an area prone to high humidity, rain, snow, and/or salt. The muffler has a thin layer of anti-corrosion paint. The first few times you use it, you will notice the corrosion lubricant on the outside heating up and evaporating. There is nothing wrong with this. If desired, it can also be cleaned off prior to installation. I loved this product, I thought it was a great value. As of mid-April, it was still available. As of May of 2020, this muffler is $24 with free and fast shipping through Amazon Prime. In the past, RockAuto has always been my go-to source for the lowest price on auto parts, but their price for the exact brand and part number was in the mid-40s without shipping, and $60 with shipping, and I would have to wait 7 days after ordering to receive it. My auto parts shopping is going to be more frequent now that I'll be checking Amazon!.

Took a step forward from 2 A Flowmaster series 40 to a Walker series 1 Is fit for
5/5

The price is awesome for this muffler! Ten years ago when I was young and loud, I put two 2-inch exhaust pipes on my car! In the back of my truck, there are forty-series flowmasters. In my elder years I got bored of listening to the loud exhaust, especially for my neighbors' sake as I work night shift and my 04 Silverado is pretty loud right after I start it.
So anyway, my point is. . It was very hard to decide whether I should use a 30$ universal muffler, so I went with a magnaflow y-pipe A pipe was used to connect my two exhaust pipes into one, then the pipe Originally, I did not have turn down pipes, so the end of my flowmaster was recycled and welded onto it. When it comes to power, the exhaust performs beautifully. I can barely tell the difference between it and my flowmasters. My loss is not noticeable, but I am sure I have lost some. As far as sound is concerned, which is a big plus, this muffler emits just enough sounds to let you know that you have a v-twin There is no way it can be heard over the radio or woke anyone up. The exhaust is louder at idle than at higher RPMs I am curious to know if this is because engine noise drowns out the sound, however I am extremely pleased with my purchase and would purchase the exact same muffler if I had to do it again.

I like it very much
4/5

This is what I installed on my 1994 Chevy K1500 pickup truck. Definitely not a hot rod (just a truck to use for work and hunting), and I wasn't looking for a big truck to fill my driveway to. Walker also sells a specific muffler (part number 21046) for my truck, but this universal one appeared to have the same dimensions and supposedly fit my truck as well. Trying to determine which end of the system is the intake was the only issue. A large, well-spaced, rubber stamp bearing the word "OUTLET" is located at the side (far closer to the middle than either end). The baffles on both sides are identical to one another, and one side of the fitting was male and the other female, as far as I could tell. In an ironic twist of fate, the only way it would fit into the bed of the truck was if its outlet was on the inlet side. All that said, getting the job done (replacing the tailpipe at the same time) wasn't difficult. Thanks to your help, my truck has become quiet again, and it seems the neighbors enjoyed it too!.

Four out of five stars for me
5/5

It would be great if you could give this product 5 stars. The GVW rating of this truck is better than that of a full size 1995 GM truck. I was expecting it to be a few DB louder but it ended up a bit louder Obviously, its not a noisy beast of a muffler either. Added a new (welded) exhaust cat end to the outlet end Nothing I can do about it. There is something quite soothing about the sound of this, but make it growl drivers would prefer it louder, and Sunday drivers might even ask for more muffling. This does have a normal truck exhaust sound, but it's not a ticket magnet (if installed correctly).
