This foot is - The intake horn has a long coupler coming off of it, and it has to travel to the outlet - In my custom setup (modernizing a 1990 Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel with 3" pipe), the intercooler sits on the outside of the engine block. The wiggle allows for a great deal of flexibility If 45 degree couplers aren't shallow enough (in conjunction with other pipes and couplings), this is the solution.
Since my turbo kit was outdated, I purchased these to custom cut them to my own measurements that I felt fit the best. Arguably the best and easiest way to cut these to size is to clamp a metal hose clamp and cut along the metal clamp and seal it with a metal cap.
The piece of equipment I used for the cold air intake I built proved to be invaluable. I like the way it looks and feels I love how well it works. Having a good working relationship with him.
The price is just a little high.
