What is the maximum lift that these springs can provide?

As far as I recall, the maximum lift was 650 pounds. I've got 621 and haven't had any problems.

Is this a LS1 engine?

Yes, I ordered these, but I didn't check to see if they were the same size as the stock spring retainers. I'd just get single, not double, springs that are more powerful.

So, will these springs work with the stock retainers?

No, if you contact Crane Cams, they'll give you the part number for the retainers you can use. You'll also need to run different spring seats because the factory ones won't work.

The installation and reliability of these on an LS1 with a Comp XER281 (TSP Torquer V2) cam were flawless. Make sure you also get the Crane seats and retainers. This is an excellent product that is far less expensive than purchasing a camera "package" and performs equally well.
