My licters aren't loud at all.
That's what I did with it... Add a monster roller bump stick, and you've got the recipe my friend was looking for.

I enjoy Comp Cams' products, but I had no idea retro lifters were so loud. My engine has a wide rpm range and produces a lot of torque.
These lifters were purchased for a brand new engine, which was installed in the car after a successful dyno session. The valves sounded as if they needed to be adjusted when the exhaust was full. When I removed the valve covers, I discovered that a couple of lifters could be compressed with my hand, so I leaned over the fender and swapped out the bad lifters that Comp Cams had sent me, and now the other ones are constantly ticking. The engine galleys have been thoroughly cleaned, and the springs are 120 on the seat and 325 open with 1. There are six rockers in total. It ticks for 10 minutes every day when I turn it on, then it ticks again when it warms up. These hoists are a waste of time. Staying pumped up isn't a good idea.
