Will this fit my 1992 GMC Sierra LS with a 4L80 swapped in?

Yes, I used the 4L80E transmission with my LS swap, and the Lokar performed admirably. Note: The truck was built in 1966 and was a C10.

The gear indicator is not changed when you shift - Is this something that can be replaced?

If the transmission shifts when the column shift lever is pressed, the problem is in the column.

What is the best way for me to obtain a replacement cable and hardware?

Place an order for a new cable.

Is this an example of a forward shift?

The shift cable is merely a conduit for movement from your shifter to your transmission. However, after speaking with a Lokar technician about my installation in my 1972 C-Body, He also stated that if there is a direct line from your shifter lever to the transmission shift lever, the adjustable rod type is far superior to the cable type.

It was a nice product, but it didn't work for my needs

I'm using a 4L80E and a 68 C10 with a CPP column. The cable could not be run where it needed to go due to a lack of clearance on the firewall. The cable can't be bent too far or it will bind in the sleeve. It functions more like a push/pull rod than a cable. I could have made it work, but I didn't want to take the chance of messing it up and being unable to return it. Overall, the quality is excellent.

A 4L60E isn't one of them

I read the description and saw that it doesn't work with the 4L60E, but it can be made to work with a little engineering and fabrication. The column mount and horse shoe adapter are not required, but a new bracket mounted to the fire wall can be used instead. So far, everything is running smoothly.

Another fantastic Lokar product, this time fitted to a 1992 S-type

With a turbo 400, it's a 10 Blazer column. It solved the issue of running a linkage in a small space. I'm still waiting to do a test drive and replace the front clip with fender wells that will make the car fit snugly. Overall, another outstanding Lokar offering.
