I wish I had done some research before placing my order. For a 1" hose, this clamp is too big. I just squandered a few days. I'll have to send it back and order the correct clamps. I'm not sure why the seller's advertising copy isn't "fact checked. ".

This clamp was exactly the right size for my needs.
All you have to do now is measure the pipe/hose's outside diameter to ensure it fits the clamp's size. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. It's a matter of logic.

This was used to clamp black PVC pipe to a pool pump that now serves as my basement's sump pump. The standard pump is incapable of keeping up with the demands. For a few months, this has worked flawlessly. The pump runs every 3 seconds or so. It's been 5 minutes now, but it was only 1 minute when I started. The time limit is five minutes. There are no leaks anywhere near the clamp.
Even at its smallest setting, the size of this product is too large for a 1" host, according to the description.
