If you have no other option, yes you can. The break will not cause any catastrophic failure or internal damage under typical everyday conditions. In any case, it is highly recommended to use a DOT 4 at the very least. This element has a boiling point between 30 and 50 degrees higher than water. As Toyota's braking system is exceptionally efficient, it may never reach these temperatures, unless you sit on it for a prolonged period, as in the case of riding it down a long, steep road. If you don't use high grade fluid, then you will regret it. The feeling of luck has to do with how lucky you are.
No matter what is written on the label, most brake fluids are synthetic. It is okay to mix the two. Mix with DOT5 but don't mix them together.
In fact, few models use dot 4 other than the very latest ones. Synthetic dots are the best, and dot 3 should be used

It was well packaged. It does not leak or have any damage. This is for my 2013 Honda Accord. The service manual says to use Honda brake fluid (three times that price) that is actually crocodile fluid. The brake fluid everyone knows is the It is a requirement for all manufacturers to follow DOT There has never been any issue with Prestone for me or anyone I know. There aren't any downsides to it, and it's cheap. It is well packaged. It does not leak or have any damage.
When I have opened the hood of my 1990 Chevy truck, I've always checked the brake fluid level. That's about all the attention that's been paid to it. The stopping performance on my vehicle did not substantially improve when I replaced the drums, rotors and pads on all wheels. My stomach fluttered when I opened the reservoir cap and I saw diarrhea-like fluid. After I bought it in 1998, I've done a lot of maintenance on it, including a new engine last summer. However, I'm embarrassed to admit that I've ignored the brake fluid for a long time. The Lisle 19200 Brake Bleeding Kit and synthetic Dot-94 grease I bought are through Amazon Then, I started bleeding the brake fluid one wheel at a time until all I could see was clear fluid. I had enough brake fluid to do my 1999 Expedition. They had a day job because 17-year-olds didn't have enough money to live on Fittings that were more than a decade old needed to be coaxed and replaced. To have a backup quart I came to the auto parts store and bought one for $5 It cost me 40 bucks, but I made it While you can order here if your vehicle is disabled and waiting for a part. . . or more fluid while it is still on a mile drive for other things, ordering here while it is disabled isn't something you can beat.
This is the first time I have changed the brake oil on a 2004 Toyota Sienna. Having fun was the whole purpose of the trip. The new brake oil is a welcome change from the dark old oil. It feels so much better after the oil change that the brakes are more responsive. If anyone is wondering, it took about 36 oz of brake fluid to complete a complete flush on this vehicle and I believe it is fairly accurate in general for other vehicles as well. If in doubt, you can always search for it on Google.
Prestone brake fluid for less than 3 dollars can't be beat and if you are bleeding out old nasty fluid you will never run out. The product I purchased made me happy.
For those of you who may be wondering, yes, this is DOT 3 brake fluid, which is synthetic, so you can use it with what you have. I used it in a classic car, as well as in a newer truck. It stays cleaner for a longer period of time, which is why I prefer Prestone. In my experience, other brands tend to cause components to fail sooner, so whatever these engineers are doing, they are doing it correctly.
There seems to have been some problem with the seal, so I'm not sure if it's a broken seal or a returned item, but when I received this Break fluid should be used right away, which is why I am pretty upset with this. The break fluid may have been exposed to the air for a long time.
We were desperate to change the brake fluid on our 1996 Camry after it had been a number of years since last replacing it. In order to avoid paying a dealership such an absurd amount of money, we did the work fairly easy to do someone with limited mechanical ability and a few tools could probably do it after watching a YouTube video. Although we didn't feel any difference in the way the brakes felt, at least we know that we won't be killed There were only 2 bottles left on hand for the Camry to flush the old fluid, but it would have been nice to have 3 on hand as well.
It still had the foil seal left on it, but I have no way to reseal it when I use it. So I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. As much as I would like to get a new cap, there is no way to request one on Amazon except for returning the entire purchase, and I need to use the product right now, or else I would have returned it for.
