Rather than paying full price, you can get it for a fraction of the price. A couple different times I have had my car serviced for unrelated issues and I was told my steering fluid needed replacing, I decided it was time to get it taken care of. However, I couldn't justify paying It was consistently Lucas Oil that was recommended to me by anyone I spoke to, and I have driven several thousand miles with it since then and could not be happier I decided not to completely flush the old fluid at home, but instead chose to siphon (mostly with a baster) all the old fluid from the reservoir until it was gone, then cycle as much as possible until I replaced w/this new quart. Results were immediate. During typical driving, I observed an immediate difference in the ease with which I could turn at lower speeds and in the general smoothness of the steering motion. I will definitely use Lucas Oil for future flushes for my current (Infiniti) and future cars, since I'm happy knowing that it can be done for less than 10% of what it costs at a professional shop!.
Invest in quality products for your vehicle if you value it. There is a high level of quality to Lucas Although they cost a little more, their higher price comes from the fact that they are designed to be better than most other products used in power steering fluids. Besides using higher quality fluid components, Lucas also uses electronics. Additionally, the power steering fluid acts both as a hydraulic fluid to turn the front wheels when you turn the steering wheel and as lubricant to help keep the pump bearings and seals in good shape. In addition to dispelling moisture, the fluids prevent pumps and bearings from overheating. You can be confident that when you see a Lucas product, you are looking at a superior product less expensive and safer than most. Will it really work better than the cheapest fluid? The situation should improve over time. What's the point of spending a little more for a Lucas product instead of some cheap 'no name' Your vehicle must be maintained if you care about it. Likewise, if you don't care about your vehicle, it is unlikely to care if you are left on the road.
Changing the fluid in your power steering is very simple. If you can do the job in 30 minutes in your driveway, there's no need to pay a shop $79 for the service. In my Subaru Forester 07, I have a turbocharged engine.
My Volvo was in need of power steering fluid, so I replaced it with the correct Volvo It is a really good way to flush out my power steering fluid before adding Volvo power steering fluid this is a much less expensive option.
I tried everything I could to get my power steering to work, but it was whining like crazy. Since buying this, I haven't heard that whining anymore!.
In my vehicle, the power steering fluid was making noise, so I decided to change it with The device is working fine, there is no longer any.
You other brothers cannot deny that either. At maintanence, this should last at least 3 fill-ups.
Only problem is that once you fill up a car, it does not need to be refreshed for years (except if it leaks). I couldn't find much to say, the steering is smooth as butter again, and it seems to work as intended. There is no need to buy that "expensive" brand of fluid, as they all work equally well on a normal to above average car.
Yes, go for it. Your wallet will thank you for it.
After doing a fluid exchange in my Frontier, I decided to use Lucas Power Steering Fluid. Despite the high price, it is a good deal. Is well suited for the task. This product is not for Honda and Acura vehicles, according to the bottle.
