The two are the same. The older lots were labeled Heavy Duty, while the newer lots say Brake Fluid. The two lots have the same catalog numbers, the same SAE designation, the same boiling point, etc. As I mentioned, I have both types of bottles in my possession. There are no changes to the label other than the name.
In America, brakes are considered so essential that they take the need for confusion out of them and make them reasonable foolproof. It is a good synthetic, but its hydroscopic characteristics are different. Therefore, it is not a good idea to combine synthetic with conventional. *br>You shouldn't ride a DOT3 in a DOT4 vehicle, but DOT3 can ride a DOT4 in a DOT4. I would like to bring up one more thing. Most people know how Hondas and Subarus can be finicky about their fluids, so it's better to just get Honda fluid so you can say with certainty, "I have used nothing but Honda fluids". It's true what I say. Sell the car when you're ready and it will pay off.

I have a manual that states that only genuine Honda brake fluid should be used in all Honda vehicles. Using it to bleed my brake lines and replace my old fluid was just what I needed. In July 2015, I paid less for two cans than the dealer charged even with shipping (two cans for $15). We are looking at DOT 3 fluid here For information on the kind of fluid your vehicle needs, consult your owner's manual. While I may use generic brake fluid for the transmission, coolant, brakes and power steering, I stick with Honda fluids for the other components.
This is genuine Honda fluid. Next time I will probably use a generic brand. The only things that Honda requires OEM items for are SCT fluid and power steering fluid. Japanese spark plugs must be used. Brake fluid must have Silicates must not be present in the coolant. This was one of many chances to check that the brake system is functioning properly. As a result, I found the bleeder screws to be quite corroded, almost to the point of becoming blocked. It took a wire wheel to get rid of them.
Compared to the color of Nissan dot 3 brake fluid, the honda gearbox fluid is an entirely different colour. There is no way to tell if the bottles are old or if they were left out in the open for too long at the manufacturer or if it is just their formula, but to me, dark fluid tends not to work well.
The fluids used in hondas are quite expensive, but I use them anyway. you will double the life of your auto components by using the fluids found in hondas. It is recommended to purchase at least 4 bottles of brake fluid for complete replacement.
I was pleased with the price and the speed of delivery. Using genuine Honda brake fluids like this is the best way to work on your Honda. They're cheap and specially The best advice I can give is to always buy more brake fluid than you need, as you will not have enough if you go for the cheap route, plus topping off the brake fluid when you get your oil changed is always a good idea.
An entirely missing cap and another one that was unscrewed are both present.
My Honda vehicles are the only ones that I would use this fluid with. Check to make sure you're using Honda fluid if you intend to stop. People, let's get rid of those lines.
I’m very satisfied with the quality of this product, and we saved a ton of money over a Honda dealer.
