A typical PSI range is 45 to 52. It is far more important to maintain a sufficient fuel pressure at the inlet to ensure that the reservoir stays A rating of 2, or any less, would be unacceptable. If you are getting 5 psi, you probably have a problem. It may be clogged, or the hose may collapse.

The hard way was the only way to learn. Be sure you use an EFI with a fuel return system if you intend to add one to your car. No matter how I followed all the instructions, this piece of junk kept overheating and venting gas everywhere. I was enthusiastically encouraged to switch to a return system by fitech and all too easily traded for the use of a submersible pump. Basically, they acknowledged that the design of the command center was defective. If you take a look at the problems on YouTube you'll notice that I wish I could have done it before purchasing.
This product should not be used! I am a professional builder of cars. While this product has proven to be effective, I found that it was leaking a great deal of liquid fuel out of the vent line so it may have to have that vent line run back to the gas tank defeating the purpose of purchasing this kit to avoid messing with the In addition to running very hot, the unit has a well-designed vent system which may fail in the future due to the design and the heat generated. I replaced it with an intank system to avoid potential issues with that vent system.
It could be a problem with the fit. My 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 came equipped with FiTech Easy Street 600HP system. Ultimately, I decided to put the fuel management system in the space where the radiator overflow tank used to be. Other than under the hood, it wouldn't fit anywhere else. A pickup truck would be much more convenient for this. I found the instructions to be excellent, and installing them couldn't have been easier. Everything works perfectly on the system. It worked from the very first turn of the key. I still have to fine tune the fuel injection system, but it works. I strongly urge you to refrain from doing it. The product has several inherent design flaws and appears to lack You WILL have problems as a result of it. It will make your project a total nightmare due to the lack of customer service.
Although I was concerned after reading some bad reviews, things seem to be going well so far. Then you should make sure it is installed exactly how the manufacturer recommends.
A good product that fits well into the place of the old control I was very pleased with the speed of delivery.
I love this item and it lives up to expectations.
