Questions & Answers
That would be entirely dependent on the design of the speed control. It should work if it was made with contacts like wire wound or stationary metal contacts. I would use a different product if it uses a polymer film contact; most polymer film contacts wear out rather than collecting dirt, but they can be cleaned if they are dirty. All you need to do now is figure out how your speed control works. Also, if the control requires a lot of current, be cautious about using a cleaner on a high-current (15A) control switch.
I believe it is suitable for that purpose, but I am unsure whether it is required. Unless the amp was extremely dirty or had been sitting for a long time without tubes in the sockets, simply inserting and removing a tube with clean pins should suffice.
Mine appeared to be the same as the one in the photo, but it's possible that they've changed it since then.
This is a contact cleaner. I've used it to control amplifiers, guitars, and even headphones. It's fantastic at all of them. It can restore a scratchy instrument to like-new condition by moving control knobs or levers. In terms of the sensation of uneven or sluggish movement, I don't think it would hurt to give it a shot; I've never used it for that purpose, though. If I had the condition you describe, I would try it and clean the controls with extremely fine steel wool.

I went to YouTube and typed in "noisey wah" and sat back, waiting for my world to change. I came across a video of a friendly-looking dog. I took my pedal apart, sprayed this stuff everywhere (I even got some on my cat and my nearly-dead cat) to silence the noise, which led me to this fine Peavey product. I've always been a Peavey fan, owning several Peavey amps, a Peavey guitar, and a Peavey shirt. Put it back together (with your naked girlfriend), and you're good to go. I purchased it, received it quickly, and it worked perfectly. Bam.
This item is fantastic. In the 1990s, I purchased a 12-channel Mackie mixer at a garage sale. When I moved from the South of France to the North of France, I had a lot From California to Eastern Europe It was stored in Texas for a few years in the early 2000's. The screws that held it together were oxidized after I unpacked it. After connecting everything, the audio would cut out on the left or right, and the mic would drop out, so I assumed it was a loss. I bought this as a last-ditch effort, and it worked perfectly. It works well on both painted and plastic surfaces. There are no longer any audio dropouts.
My Focusrite Scarlett had some crackling in the volume knob that couldn't be worked out by exercising the potentiometer, so I bought this because I knew I'd be able to use it on my bass guitar with no problems. My volume knob on my interface now feels super loose but silky smooth, and most importantly, the crackling is gone after spraying it down and working it around like it was a super smash combo. I'm happy with the results, and I'll buy it again when I run out.
Unlike other "pot" cleaners, Funk Out lubricates the contacts very well, so it not only cleans, but also protects them. I used to use other products, but now that I've discovered Funk Out, I don't use anything else on my music gear. After soaking for a day or so, it even worked to free pots that were completely frozen. I would strongly advise you to use this product to keep your electrical equipment in good working order.
The sprayer trigger was broken, as many other people have said. As a result, when I attempted to use it, the fluid splattered all over the place. I attempted to return it but was unable to do so through Amazon's website. I was able to use it after getting it all over the place, and it did clean the pot that needed to be cleaned.
It comes in a new can style. Just wanted to give you a heads-up on something. This item is no longer available in the old-style can. If you were hoping to avoid the new style can with the captured/folding spray tube by purchasing this Peavey labeled can, you'll be disappointed. They need to make some changes to the image.
The equipment was brought back to life after disassembly and drying, as well as a thorough cleaning with Peavy Funk Out to remove/prevent oxidation. My brother swears by it, and I believe him.
My MXR Equalizer, which had been sitting on the floor for years, was constantly cracking and popping. I sprayed a small amount of Funk Out in each slider control and on the switch, then shifted them around. The popping had stopped the following day. This is a very good contact cleaner.
