It actually worked for what it was intended to do.
I think this is a great.
A fishing boat that my son recently bought is an older model. In order to care for me, he lives with me. As a result, I try to help him out a bit as well. Seeing this Grandpa Gus's Battery Terminal Cleaner/Protector, I thought it would be ideal for keeping his boat batteries clean and protected. My husband's eyes have some age on them, so I told him to try this. After spraying the batteries, one for the boat and one for the trolling motor, he gave me a report. * When he applied the solution to the batteries, he discovered that some of the terminals had a little redness which indicated some acid had leaked. In that case, it turned yellow, which signified it was reacting with the acid and would eventually I let my son save me the work by letting the machine do all the cleaning. It now protects the batteries in the future, as far as I can tell. You may be able to use it on other metal items to remove rust from them as well. It was expensive, but I believe it will save him a lot of money on batteries, so I think it was certainly worth the cost! In light of the experience my son had using it, I do recommend.
As there is no electricity in that area, we use these batteries I had no choice but to use solar energy. It has been several days since I installed the batteries - haven't cleaned them yet It was about two My initial assumption is that it was working because I sprayed it and it turned from yellow to red. cleaned it up with a hard bristle brush, and I would say it did a satisfactory job of doing so. In addition to adding a layer of protection for the future, it provides an additional layer of security. It will be interesting to see what happens. This product does what it's supposed to do, but it's hard to swallow.
This battery charged up without any problem after cleaning it up quite nicely. Grandpa Gus's Battery Terminal Cleaner is expensive and, after the last drop has been sprayed out of this generous bottle, it'll be impossible to refill it. Instead of using the small can I will return to my old baking soda.
Clean up was needed on the positive terminal of the battery because it was clogged with battery acid. Then I took a chance in trying something new that was working well. It was better than I expected. Whenever there is a leak of battery acid, the chemical in this product changes color. My sprayer was easy to use and did not clog. That will be a tool I keep around as often as I need it since it really did the job! The camper batteries will also be cleaned with this when it comes time to do so.
The red color indicates if there is acid, while the yellow color indicates that it is neutralizing the acid. It actually comes with chemical indicators in colors that tell you the difference. In this way, you can actually find out if you have a Besides cleaning the battery really well, it also has a good capacity for storing electricity. A tool like this is a good thing to have around for troubleshooting.
It actually does what it claims to do.
