Questions & Answers

Is this u-turn going to happen? Do you have a bolt that will fit 1 1/4" handlebars?

Yes, it fits my Yamaha Fz6r with a 7/8" handlebar and my father's HD electraglide with 1 1/4" bars with room to spare on both, according to my knowledge.

Is this piece compatible with my motorcycle's switch housing bolts?

I'm pretty sure it's not going to work. "Ram Mount Motorcycle Brake/Clutch Reservoir Base with 1-Year Warranty" is what you're looking for. a ball of one inch

My handlebars are 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Is it going to work?

The u- Two u-shaped utensils are included on one side. Bolts in two sizes: "regular" and "large." I used the standard bicycles for my ride. According to the specifications, the bar should not be higher than 1. The large U-shape, however, is 25" in diameter. It appeared that the bolt was quite large. I'll look for it and measure it if I find it, but I'm guessing it'll fit 1 1/2 inches.

Will the ball for this fit in my ram mount phone holder, which has a ball that clamps into the holder?

Because this ball mount is one inch in diameter, it should work with any clamp that accepts a one-inch ball.

For my motorcycle, it's part of an excellent phone mount system
5/5

This is what I bought to attach my Droid DNA to my motorcycle's handlebars. To make the mount work, I needed three parts: a bolt, a double socket arm, and an x-shaped arm grip. br>br>First and foremost, there is the u- The handlebars should be bolted to the base clamps for mounting. I used electrical tape to protect the bars from scratches and to create a higher friction surface on which the clamp could not spin. It came with a handy adapter that could be used with 1" or 7/8" bars. After that, you'll need a double socket arm with a socket joint on each end to grab the u-shaped ball. On the phone grip, there is a bolt and a ball. After that, you connect the x-ray tube to the x-ray machine. All you have to do now is grip the other end of the double socket arm and you're ready to go. br>br>The two ball and socket joints provide excellent articulation, allowing it to be adjusted in any direction, and the knob allows for snug tightening without the use of tools. I was concerned that my phone would fly off the mount at high speeds, but it turned out to be extremely stable. However, for added security, I made a small tether out of some string to secure the phone to the mount in case it became loose while traveling. Fortunately, I never saw it move during any of my rides, so it was just me being overly cautious.

The Spacer is a complete waste of time
3/5

The adjustability of the system is fantastic. The U- I was unable to use the bolt system. The Space was not very sturdy, and it did not fit comfortably on my handlebars. I even went out and purchased a second u-shape. I wanted to be able to switch the mount between my motorcycle and ATV with ease. The installation was a pain both times, and the space would not stay put. When I first installed the mount, I assumed that if I tightened the bolts enough, it would stay in place. The spacer kept sliding to the back or front instead of working, and when I finally pinned it down, I over-pinned it. When I tightened the bolts, the spacer snapped in half! I ended up using a piece from an old go-kart to replace the spacer component. It's a pro mount, and it works, but it's not what I was expecting to pay for. I've got the second mount on my bike now, but every time I put my phone in it, the clamp doesn't stay put and the whole thing moves around. Apart from the frustrating shape of the base, which makes the installation tedious because not many tools will fit there easily (I used a small wrench and turned it about 30 times or so), the part that holds the phone is great. )br>br>TLDR (Total Length of Response): Find a system that holds the phone as shown in the photos, but with a better mount than the U-Mount. I believe these guys also make a clamp, but I haven't tried it yet.

For a BMW K1600GT mount, it works perfectly! I've been using RAM Mounts on my motorcycles and vehicles for several years and have never been dissatisfied
5/5

When I first realized I wouldn't be able to install a RAM ball on my new K1600GT, I was disappointed. Only a $150 machined aluminum ball with RAM accessories appeared to be an option. Then, on an Iron Butt Association forum, someone suggested that this little guy would fit between the two aluminum spars that connect the handlebar clips. That's correct! The rubber on the bottom as well as the rubberized top section help to protect and secure the aluminum. I've driven over 3,000 miles in a short period of time on a variety of roads, and it's still rock solid! This is an excellent item.

Trek DS 8 with solid mount Five bicycles

Three of these RAM U-Boots are currently in use by me. On a Trek DS 8, a bolt mounts. 5 bicycles that are hybrids Despite the fact that the 31 Because the diameter of an 8mm handlebar is tapered rather than fixed, I was able to secure this mount with ease by using the smaller of the two U-bolts. bolts. The bigger one is 1. 5" U- The heaviest 31 was also easily accommodated by bolt. The handlebars have an 8mm section. The bottom of the mount has a V notch, which, when combined with the U-shaped notch on the top, gives it a unique look. Bolt allows for simple tightening against a round surface as the diameter grows. I keep a Garmin Oregon 450 in it, as well as a Samsung Galaxy Player WiFi 5. 0, as well as a flashlight or headlight. The joint is made up of two parts: a ball and a socket. It stays in place once you tighten it. To protect the mount, I included washers. When installing, be cautious: If you use the U-shaped tool against metal, you might scratch it. As you place it, fasten the bolts.

I bought this a year ago to mount a GoPro in my helicopter, but it's gone missing
3/5

I noticed the tube I was going to mount it to had a leather pad around the top edge for passenger protection before the mount arrived. Nothing is a problem for me because I always use RAM mounts. I have a box full of used and unused mounts just waiting for the next project. Fast forward to this week, when I purchased a new motorcycle and decided that this mount would be perfect for mounting my X-Blade. Grab the handlebars with both hands. When I got to the box, I noticed the mount bag was missing the top of the mount (the ball portion). All I got were two different sizes of U-Haul trailers. two thread covers, two nuts, and two bolts To say the least, I'm disappointed; I do have a small Tough Claw in the box, but it's too big for what I'm looking for. Regrettably, I'll have to purchase another and double-check that it is complete when it arrives.
