Questions & Answers

Can a 36 inch waist be fitted with a size 36?

There is a small size difference in these shorts. The XL size fits me well as I am 34 inch tall Fits tightly enough to keep the garment in place, but not so tight that it becomes uncomfortable. If you wear size 36, I think size 2XL will suit you.

Can you tell me if the padding has CE approval or rating?

The packaging is no longer with me As a result, I cannot say for sure what was br>The labels on the shorts do not contain any CE marking or logo

When tailbone protection is used, what material is used?

Plastic that is extremely hard. This is a small size.

The hip bone is there any padding above the belt line on these?

The belt does have protection above the belt line, however, it is a soft shell, and hard shell protection is below the belt line. The belt is very comfortable as well as durable and protective.

I literally saved my butt
5/5

There must have been a divine reason for the event. Upon getting these items, my very next ride was marred by a small tree falling on the guardrail in front of me. Crossing the road, it was sticking out. The vehicle clotheslined me before I had a chance to hit the breaks. The high-speed bike went on regardless. It struck me directly in the chest. With my body, I broke through the barrier. landed directly on my left knee, then kept sliding and came in contact with my hip, shoulders, elbow, and my head bounced a couple of In addition to my shorts, and their shin and knee guards, my jacket, a helmet, as well as some gloves, I wore some gloves as well. My ankle bone also got a few small cuts (because I didn't put on my ankle guards), and I also got a couple of bruises where the edges of the pads dug in from the pressure. Although the cut is small, and you can see it in the picture, it is obviously there. Just before hitting the rail, the bike just flopped onto the rail. Once I had checked myself, I got on the bus and rode home as quickly as possible. This stuff would have saved my life from the head impact. I'm sure I would have been in the ER or dead from a head injury without these pads. The crazy thing is that apart from a few scratches on the plastic, they're still completely.

This is a great place to mountain bike
5/5

The extra protection is important to me because I regularly travel on black diamond, expert, and pro trails. As soon as I fell and hit my right hip, I decided to cough up the cash In addition to limping for over a week, I also had fever and headaches. My hip was not hurt at all after a fall on roots, wood planks, dirt, and dirt at the summit of Mt. Baldy while wearing Alpinestars shorts. As I continued the trail, I was able to mount my bike again. There is no chamois, but you do get tailbone protection if you ride clipped.

This is especially useful if you are clipped and landing on your side without time to unclip. My padded underwear or shorts provide the chamois, so I usually wear them under my shirt. P. Also, P. In this review, I only cover mountain biking here, I don't know how these would hold up to motor sports, which carry more danger.

These are very well built and very protective, but they However, the sleeves run rather small
5/5

They are made very well and seem very protective. Because I'm tall and lean, I wear a size 31 or 32 pair of pants. I ordered a medium, which normally fits great, but these were very It was hard for me to pull them up and the circulation was cut off from my legs. The small size was too small, so I returned them and ordered the large. The quality of the clothing and protection level they provide still make them 5 stars despite the size issue, so I gave them 5 stars despite the size issue. Just be careful when ordering and order at least one size larger than you normally do.

It's all good- An additional layer of protection is worth the money
4/5

The sides of the thighs are covered in a hard, large panel. Tailbone, as well as more, is covered completely by the rear panel. Although, there is a tight fit to the shorts. There is nice soft padding around the entire circumference of the waist. I would recommend ordering two sizes larger to ensure a comfortable fit rather than a tight one. To provide a little extra protection against the gas tank, I will wear a LOBOLO O-cup over these shorts. However, a regular football cup can be worn under them. This is what you want if you prefer hard armor panels on your thighs The Leatt shorts with softer 3DO impact armor are a better choice if not.

This was a small run, so I had to go back
3/5

You should not cover up the top of the To begin with, they were terribly small and (just about) too tight to wear. I got a large for 36" waist. I am 6'3" and weigh 210 pounds, so I probably need an XL, maybe an In addition, the top of the pad doesn't cover the top of the pelvis, which is why I bought My wife and I just wriggled into them to see if they would do what we wanted, but it doesn't look like they will go Aside from a few photos on the internet, there is no picture of a body wearing them.

Fit and protection are good, but the stitching is poor
3/5

A very good product size can be found. For me, a size Large is the perfect fit with a 34" waist and average leg size. As long as the stitching holds up over time, the protection is very good. I am disappointed with the quality of the stitching though. Photos show that both the hard pad and the soft pad came off the product. After stitching both by hand, I was able to wear them. Unfortunately, the quality control of this product was poor.

Everything on the thigh is fantastic, but anything on the hips or waist is gonna come out wrong
4/5

Although these would be fine, I sent them back since they did not offer enough hip support. Any part of the thigh that turns out nice is going to be excellent, but the hips or waist will be terrible. As a result of a recent accident, I have been hurt in that area and refuse to run anything that does not provide me with the proper This is not an option for offroad MX. As far as lighter duty activities like mountain biking and the like go, they are.

Protective measures that are well made
5/5

It is true that I am a big guy at 260 pounds. XL fits, but the waist is too small and the rest of the shorts don't fit at all. The hard inpact protection offered by these semiconductors is excellent. In addition to fitting well, they are well constructed.
