You can measure your calf by circling it about two times while wearing jeans. Make sure they are not too big so they won't slide off the table. They are 19" in length. It is way easier and cooler than full size chaps without the hassle of tying up.

I bought these to protect my arms against burns and rocks. Their usefulness for that purpose is quite good. So far, these have logged a few miles. As the leather is thin, it does not get too hot to wear in the summer. I like the fact that they are easy to put on and take off, though the zipper occasionally gets fouled. For a low end pair of half chaps, they are pretty good. I wanted to see if I liked half chaps from an inexpensive pair before purchasing a more expensive pair. I found these to be perfect for the job. The half chap concept appeals to me and I will probably get a higher end pair sooner rather than later. Keeping these as a backup is fine by me. Rolling them up is also an advantage since they are relatively compact and can be stored compactly. I would like to point out a side A few months after wearing them for about 6 months, the zipper got hopelessly stuck, and I had to tear one off due to Gear of this type is not of a very high quality.
Due to feedback from others, I was a little wary, but I am very pleased with them. The leather is a tad thin, but I think that for the price they are ok. With calves of 16 inches, the med/large size is ideal. They are heavy duty zippered and have velcro straps to keep them in place. I can keep my legs off the hot exhaust and stuff that stings and nicks off the road with these. I was very pleased with the outcome.
The lower legs are protected here, which is great if that's all you want. There are signs that I get a lot of wind, rocks, and bugs on my bikes (I have three). If you walk a lot, they will have a hard time staying up. The only problem is that they are easy to put on and take off. They're made of thin leather and have some lining (not designed to keep things warm). They do, however, help a lot when it comes to blocking the wind.
This keeps my legs nice and warm without wearing full chaps when it rains as I carry it in my saddle bag all the time when it rains as I keep them dry as it prevents a rain suit from being required that keeps my legs dry in light rain.
They will be donated to a charity raffle in the end.
It was a nice quality the sizing is perfect for my 17-inch calf I bought the medium large and it fits just right.
A pair of these chaps is very useful. The armor does not weigh a lot but offers decent I have worn these a few times and I am satisfied with how they fit.
