A lighter tint makes the Silver Iridium ideal for use during the day, whether it is cloudy or sunny. I can wear my sunglasses under it with no issue during the day, but it has just enough tint that I won't wear it at night unless I have no choice. It looks okay at night and beats a painful bug to the forehead, but it's not the smartest choice.
