There are several other pieces of authentic D30 protection in my possession (knee, elbow, and back), but I realized that it might make sense to use the hip armor pockets in my riding pants, too. It seems that this material is quite similar to D30 and will share a lot of its characteristics with the latter. The foam may be a little firmer and less rubbery than rubber, but based solely on the feel, I think this would be a valuable addition to your armor. This is an amazing product. I ordered my back armor from Revzilla, and while it is nice it is no match for The previous reviewer said he was planning to get thicker armor, but I am not sure what he means.
