Lights Dim Over Time; Replace in Pairs: For best results, replace both H11 headlights at the same time. If one bulb goes out, the other will soon follow. It's easier to see if you replace them in pairs.
The brightest H11 headlight equals the best downroad visibility: Sylvania's premium headlight bulbs, the Ultra Night Vision performance headlight, help you see everything on the road better.
Whiter Light For Added Clarity: When compared to Sylvania OE bulbs, the patented Tri-Band Technology helps provide the whitest H11 light. Increase the contrast and visibility of objects like street signs and road hazards.
Replace your standard H11 bulb with this bright white halogen headlight to improve the safety and style of your vehicle at night.
Sylvania is the world leader in automotive lighting for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket, having been in business for over 100 years.

Questions & Answers

Is there a warranty on these light bulbs? Some users claim that the bulb life is extremely short?

If purchased from a licensed dealer, Sylvania offers a one-year warranty. On Amazon, BulbAmerica isn't one of them. They only offer a 30-day warranty! The bulbs are also available from iServe on Amazon, who is an authorized dealer and sells them for the same price. I like the bulbs, but after less than three months, one of them burned out. I just bought the bulbs again, but this time I was more careful and looked for an authorized Amazon seller. Because the bulbs have a short lifespan, make sure you buy from a seller who will honor the factory's 12-month warranty. Take advantage of what I've learned the hard way.

On my 2009 Dodge Ram, I'm changing the bulbs. Which option, the 9006, 9008, or H11, would be the brightest and whitest?

Both the high and low beams on your Dodge Ram are powered by H13 bulbs (9008). In terms of brightness, you have halogen, advanced halogen (silver star, ultra, xyz, etc.), and finally advanced halogen (silver star, ultra, xyz, etc.). ) However, if you really want true brightness, I'd recommend a good set of HIDs. Simply avoid exceeding 5000K because the lights will begin to change colors and other issues. I paid nearly $40 for a pair of silver stars, which were a big improvement over my old halogen bulbs but didn't last very long. I'd say the brightness was on par with, if not worse than, my old halogens after three months. I switched to HIDs after getting rid of my silver stars and haven't looked back since!

Is the h11 bulb used for both high and low lighting, or is it a separate bulb?

The h11 does not have a high and low beam. I previously owned a h9003 silverstar, but I would not purchase this brand again. They have only lasted about 9 months and are not as bright as they claim. SAIXUAN Automotive COB LED Replacement Bulbs 2 PCS 60W 6000LM 6000K IP 65 Super Cold White Car Headlight Led Conversion Kit 12V 24V- I replaced it with SAIXUAN Automotive COB LED Replacement Bulbs 2 PCS 60W 6000LM 6000K IP 65 Super Cold White Car Headlight Led Conversion Kit 12V 24V- 1 Year Warranty (H4/HB2/9003) I have had no issues with it and it is very bright.

When compared to OEM / basic lights, the cost is eight times higher
5/5

The value of a vehicle is determined by the needs of the driver. Here's a quick rundown of what we've learned so far. I hope this information is useful to others who are debating whether these lights are worth the extra money and the shorter lifespan. br>br>Do these lights provide a brighter and wider illuminated field of view at night than OEM / basic lights? Without a doubt! When compared to OEM / basic lights, do these lights provide a whiter light? Without a doubt!br> Is the light produced by these lights as white as that produced by HDL lights? br>It's a long way off! br>br>Are these lights worth the extra cost and shorter lifespan?br>If you want HDL performance - yes. No. If you're looking for better performance lights than OEM or basic lights, look no further. Depends. br>$15 for a pair of Sylvania basic; The price of a pair of Sylvania Silverstar Ultra is $32. br>Silvania has a 500-hour rating (on the conservative side). The Sylvania Silverstar Ultra has a 125-hour rating. br>In other words, based on your driving needs, are you willing to pay 8x (2x the price, 1/4 the life time) for better performance lights?.

I was fed up with having to replace halogen bulbs every few months
3/5

LED is superior. For probably close to 20 years, I've been a loyal user of the Sylvania SilverStar brand. In terms of halogen lights, they're not even the best; the last halogens I bought were Philips H11s, which were 1/3 the price and 1/3 the brightness. I was simply fed up with having to replace my headlamps every 4 to 5 months due to halogen failure. I switched from Sylvania to Philips for the final time, and they both lasted the same amount of time. After that, I purchased GlowTech LED headlights, which have completely transformed my nighttime driving. Lines on the road and signs are much brighter, and objects in the road, such as other cars or animals, are much brighter from afar. I'll never go back to halogens because the GlowTech LEDs have a 40,000-hour life span. The LED lights are about twice as expensive as traditional lights, but they are well worth the money.

Definitely superior to regular Silverstar, but not by much
4/5

The new Silverstar Ultra is on the left, and the 9-month-old regular Silverstar is on the right in the photo I've attached to this review. It looks great, but the brightness difference when driving isn't that great for some reason. It's improved, but it's not revolutionary. For what it's worth, it's possible that the design of my Prius headlight consoles prevents the bulb from reaching its full potential. In any case, I strongly advise you to purchase them. Perhaps something a little more cheerful. It's worth the extra $20 a year for better visibility to avoid killing someone.

From OE halogens, this is a nice upgrade
5/5

These were installed in our 2016 Kia Sorento SX, which had projector halogen lights as standard. The improvement has made me very happy. This vehicle made installation a breeze. I believe the images are self-evident. One of the most serious problems with the Sorento appears to be that many of them are shipped from the factory with the wrong target. We didn't have to make any changes to ours. I've had Silverstars and Silverstar Ultras on other vehicles, and none of them have ever burned out.

They're a nice upgrade, but they don't last
3/5

When I first got them, I thought they were fantastic, but my enthusiasm faded quickly. They were only good for a year. Some were only there for three days. 4 months. They should be able to do a lot better. I've given them a fair shot, having purchased a second pack and gone through four BULBS in a matter of months each. I eventually replaced them with CREE LED bulbs, which are brighter and whiter and are working perfectly. br>br>PROS: Plug- and-Play. Compared to the originals, these are brighter and better.
CONS: It only lasted about 11 months before it burned out. For such a high-priced bulb, Sylvania can do a lot better. BURNS OUT CONSTANTLY. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. I ORDERED A REPLACEMENT IN THE HOPES THAT IT WAS JUST A BAD BATCH. SIX WEEKS WAS ALL IT TOOK FOR THE NEW ONE TO WORK.

It was only good for three months
3/5

It was only good for three months. The first went out on my way to work in the morning, and the second went out on my way home that night. These were purchased on December 19th and were burned out on March 21st; the light is brighter than OEM lights, but $35 for lights that won't last three months is not worth it. Rather than having these replaced under the 12-month warranty, I decided to invest in HID.

It is not suitable for all
5/5

I have aging eyes and frequently travel on back roads. I need good lighting, and these are the best; however, I wouldn't recommend them to everyone because they are expensive, and because the filaments are pushed to create the brightness, they have a shorter lifespan than other bulbs. If you have a strong desire for good lighting and are willing to pay for it, these are the ones to get. LEDs and exotic projector beams are available, but they are far more expensive and subject to heat issues. The installation is simple in my Honda CRV; simply plug it in and go. Make a point of not touching the lamp because a fingerprint can ruin it. Recognize that all halogen (stock) lights deteriorate over time, and that any new lamp will outperform an old one. These lamps are simply miles ahead of inferior models. On my country drives, I frequently come across mule deer and elk, and these lamps allow me to see and avoid them.

Headlight bulbs should be replaced if they aren't working properly
5/5

I had just purchased a used 2012 GM Chevy Equinox when I purchased these in 2013. When I unlocked the door with the remote a few days ago, my wife noticed that my driver's side headlight was dark. I had assumed it had been turned on the night before, so I'm glad she noticed it. The bulbs had been sitting around for five years, ready to be used. br>br>[Evidently, the housing in some GM models (mine is a 2012 Equinox, but 2010-2013 models are available) is prone to rust. The plastic cover behind the bulb housing prevents these owners from installing LED lights (these are most likely the same designs as in 2017). ]br>br>I replaced my LOW beams with Sylvania Silverstar Ultra H11 bulbs the other day. It was necessary to remove the wheels, and even then, it was a matter of feeling around to get everything in the right place. If replacing the headlights is this difficult, I will not purchase another Equinox. To access the HIGH beams and turn signal bulbs, the splash guard may need to be removed. The replacement of the turn signal bulb may necessitate the use of a specialized tool. br>br>I'll make sure to post an update if these H11 headlights don't last at least 5 years.
