Although it was a little longer than was required, the extra length was appreciated. To fit on the coil (Evinrude 140hp V4), the boot had to be cut shorter. So far, I've been very happy.

These are not compatible with a Johnson 90 2 stroke engine

The boots are too long to fit on the CDI unit on the Johnson 90 2 stroke. It's also unlikely that you're using the correct inductive wire.
