Yes, if it's equipped with an electronic ignition system.
No, these are heavy-duty high-temperature wires, but they're fantastic in my 1988 Chevy Stepside with a 350 sbc, where I also installed a high-performance coil, distributor cap, and rotor. It's as if it's a beast that's running around.
Wires that were thick and a little oversized. They have a lot of resistance and I really like them!
Selected User Reviews For JDMSPEED New HEI Spark Plug Wires Set 90 To Straight Replacement For SBC BBC 350 383 400 454 V8…
REVISED. The shortest wire is actually a ninth wire, which is likely a coil wire but looks nothing like one because it has a spark plug boot and a straight connector. Also, because it's an HEI application, I'm not looking for a coil wire; however, the set worked fine once I realized the error, which was that there were 9 wires in the set. |||Original review to follow||| At this price point, I don't expect tailored lengths - Because it's advertised for both SBC and BBC, one might assume they're using BBC lengths, but that's not the case. These might work for a small block, but even stretched to its maximum length, the shortest wire on a large block is insufficient to reach the distributor! The shortest wire on 8 is shown in the photo, and it is far too short; the shortest wires are 7 or 8, and they must be at least 28" long. NOT 20"! STOP PROMOTING THESE AS BEING COMPATIBLE WITH THE BBC/454 AND OTHER COMPONENTS. MONEY WASTED - A total of seven wires is equivalent to zero. I don't have time to return or exchange this truck because it's my work vehicle. Pretty P, free time is not free! $$3d off. I'll have to save one of the old ones and order a new set later. br>br>I can't even ask the seller to make things right by sending another set or at the very least a longer wire, because their "Ask the Seller a Question" page doesn't exist. To make matters worse, AVOID.
The boots aren't super high quality, but that's relative to the price, and the wire appears to be of decent quality. Using a 427 BBC and a hall effect distributor, it was installed. If you time the distributor correctly, the pack's longest wire will just reach 2. Some are far too short, while others are far too long. In the box, no matter how you run them, the lengths aren't quite right.
Wires are of excellent quality. They're sturdy and bright, but they're too big for my distributor cap. I bought a Delco D329A GM original distributor cap from Amazon last year. The wires are excessively long and thick. In any case, I'm going to cut the shoulders off to make them fit. Aside from that, the product is excellent.
The wire that connects the distributor cap to the coil should have 90° ends instead of one straight and one 90° on the other side, but other than that, this is a great product for the money.
Isn't it true that mine included nine wires? I'm not sure if this is a thing, but the shortest wire wouldn't reach and I was about to freak out, but it came with a second, longer wire. Also, the spark plug boots are perfectly straight, so 5 stars all the way!.
Although it functions well, the outer material is extremely soft and prone to tearing.
Wires are very nice. Installed on a GMC 3500 with an engine displacement of 350 horsepower.
The boots and wires are thick and of good quality, which I like.
