My opinion is that it does not work as is. Your engine is a 1990 and the power pack on that motor is different if no changes have been made to the ignition system. Some engines, however, were converted to the CDI ignition system with a conversion kit (part 113-201 Power pack 113 was included in the 4489) that included power pack So if the part was 4767 then the part should function. The best thing to do would be to examine the existing power pack and cross-check the part numbers at marine engine.
No, the part # you provide is for a rectifier and not for CDI, so no, it will not help.
