I cannot use my ATV with this part

As the site says it will work for this motorcycle, I ordered it for my 99 Kawasaki Prairie. As I looked at the pictures, I didn't realize the fuel line came out of the wrong side of the switch, so I didn't realize it wouldn't operate. Due to the fact that the fuel line comes out of the left side of the tank, which is toward the engine, there is no clearance for the fuel line to not end up on the engine and potentially melt. Furthermore, in order to route it where it is not going to be on the engine, the cables had to It ended up not being a good fit for me.
