I used it with my 125 Lifan and it worked perfectly. When lights are idle, you must have a battery or capacitor to keep them bright.
The answer is unknown to me. There were several voltage regulators and rectifiers that I tried, but none of them fixed the no charge issue. There may be a difference between the two problems.

As it was supposed to, it worked. The only problem I had was that mine didn't look exactly the way the pictures showed. There was a red wire on the black and a green wire on the red that I received. Red and Green wires produce DC power, and they both come out of the same source. There is no doubt that the Green (Red) wire that comes from the plug goes to the battery because it is larger than the Red (Black) one.
