A 12 volt system is used

Questions & Answers

Do you know if this works for the 140cc Lifan ?

I used it with my 125 Lifan and it worked perfectly. When lights are idle, you must have a battery or capacitor to keep them bright.

What is the maximum AC voltage this product will work with?

The answer is unknown to me. There were several voltage regulators and rectifiers that I tried, but none of them fixed the no charge issue. There may be a difference between the two problems.

I have edited this review in order to warn you
3/5

The fourth edit is as follows All of what I have written so far is correct, but it turns out that the voltage coming out of this device isn't really regulated, it's One of these was mounted on another bike, but this time I used a capacitor rather than a 12V I've noticed the voltage rises with RPM, but it's only the fact that my original bike is running on a lead-acid battery that causes this I am able to use this device with a lead-acid battery. In addition, lead-based paints have been shown to cause allergic reactions Compared to lead-acid batteries, acid batteries are far more tolerant of overcharging Using a battery with a higher voltage The friend of mine who blew up his battery had battery-based batteries. As a result, at the end of the day, this product DOES require a 12v power supply This battery runs on acid. It will blow the Li+ battery if you use it. You will overdrive the voltage if you use a capacitor and eventually your capacitor or 12v accessories will be ruined. I will be switching my second bike to a Trailtech regular + capacitor soon, so that I still have the option to use a battery You can set it up for free. The following has been edited 3 times You must first make sure that the ground is *floated* so that it can operate independently of the chassis frame before you can use this on a Lifan motor (size doesn't matter). You must wire this so that the ground lead going from the rectifier goes to a separate ground reference (i. e. A 12v battery) rather than the In the event that the motor show leads are not followed by the bike frame, you will be unable to make this operation effective. I have added the following edits However, Amazon still shows this review as 1 star, even though it is now 5 stars. It's hard to say. A revised and edited version of the In my initial complaint about the product, I expressed my displeasure about the lack of wiring diagram, and also discussed the harness not fitting 125cc Lifan motors. The truth is both of those things, but it is not hopeless. The first thing to do is to cut the connector from the Once the wires are connected to the motor, you are ready to attach your Lifan / SSR (my friend has SSR, same exact motor A wiring diagram can be found here The yellow rectifier is shown in the following example It is > The motor is yellow and the wire is pink the rectifier is red You're welcome A white wire is connected to the motor while a red wire is connected to the rectifier It is > Battery (you MUST have a battery to energize the stator properly or the voltage will drop)*rectifier It is > Rectifier black for ground*- It is > I think the voltage out will be around 12v (didn't use this wire, didn't matter to my particular project)

I don't remember the voltage in, but I believe it was around It is five at idle and rises slowly to about thirteen as the engine runs. I rolled back 1V as I rolled the throttle back. My LEDs and blinkers that I wired up work properly, and the battery seems to remain charged.

Good quality varies from brand to brand
5/5

As it was supposed to, it worked. The only problem I had was that mine didn't look exactly the way the pictures showed. There was a red wire on the black and a green wire on the red that I received. Red and Green wires produce DC power, and they both come out of the same source. There is no doubt that the Green (Red) wire that comes from the plug goes to the battery because it is larger than the Red (Black) one. In the plug there is a voltage regulator wire that needs to go to the battery. The green plug wire serves as the floating ground, and the two yellow cables go to your pink and white AC output wires on your Lifan engine. Thanks and I hope you've found this review.

The full wave bridge rectifier from this manufacturer is a great value
5/5

Arrived quickly and was shipped the next day. is, as described above, a full wave bridge rectifier regulated with a high voltage An easy way to wire is to use jumpers. The Red-colored button A battery with a green indicator An additional battery is required Alternatively, it may be ground directly to the engine*Pink Charge coil - yellow - first charge (wire not installed in connector) 2nd Charge coil - White In order for the unit to regulate its voltage, it must be connected to the battery through its white (sensor) wire.

Diagram of the electrical system
3/5

if a wiring diagram were included, I would give the rating a higher rating. The way it breaks down is as follows. The Red-headed Step-Family A + must be present on the battery or on the switched power input* Green What do you mean by floating ground? It wasn't clear if I used the ground from the motor harness*. Pink The wires of an AC stator engine. The type of input doesn't matter as long as they are the same. In black - If the voltage is to be correct, this must go to the + pole of the battery. In case you don't use it, the charge will be higher.

This rectifier is a full wave Lifan 125
5/5

As of now, my Lifan 125 CT70 battery has been charged nicely with this unit.
