My husband and I had to disassemble, clean, and reassemble the CV joint boot on our car without buying a new one. In this way, I am able to achieve my goals. It worked perfectly when I used a special tool for tightening the band joints. I would say that this product is not as well made as the original Honda part, but it is.

Using these clamps works great as long as you have the right tool to tighten them.

This is a great band, in my opinion. My favorite thing about this band is its thickness, it's thicker than anything I have used before. An added security feature is the lock tabs that hold the tension tight. They do only have one downside you really need to hit them hard to get the initial crimp to take and not lose tension when steaking them. Once it has been folded over and the tabs tucked under, it appears like the picture above. I find that they are really effective. I have never been happier with a part store or OEM band.

The axels on rhino II are not compatible with aftermarket CV axels. The only problem is that they are too small and We do not recommend these if you are looking for heavy duty. The banding would be useful for light duty work or for hose applications.

It works fine first time on a cv boot for the mb c240 from 2004.
