Yes, I had a single axle drum brake trailer.
Because every trailer is different, it's difficult to say 100% for sure. Take your time and make the best decision you can. I used it on a boat trailer with drum brakes on one axle and two axles, and it worked flawlessly. It's a very nice, well-made part.
DRUM brakes are covered by part number 34039. It is not equipped with a solenoid. If you have a single axle with DISC brakes, you should get part number 34043. Part number 34044 is required if there are two axles with brakes. A solenoid is included in parts 34043 and 34044.

It was a perfect match. This is a perfect match. Nice job on the final product. The access on the bottom of the brake master cylinder is too small for a large screw driver or pry bar to plunge as per the instructions, making bleeding difficult.
Installing it was a breeze. This was a replacement for my boat trailer, and it was perfect. It was simple to install because the master cylinder and shock were already installed, and it came with a brake lockout bar in case you needed to reverse the trailer. They improved the design so that it no longer pops off the truck when attached to the trailer ball. This purchase made my trailer look brand new again, and I was very pleased with it. It's worth noting that it's on a twin axle trailer with one set of drum brakes, which easily stops the 21-foot ski boat.
I recently purchased an older boat that had this type of slide/brake system that was completely broken. This product was a perfect fit and took a lot of the stress out of starting and stopping my 6000-pound boat. You'll still need to bleed the brakes and do all the other things that come with replacing parts, but this was a breeze to set up and use.
