The stock brakes on my child's bike do not have the same stopping power as these. My wife and I have ridden the bike for a few years, and since we live in and ride in some very steep mountains, I am regretting It looks as though this is many times the quality of an OEM for a great price. A better experience and a greater level of safety for Please note the following if you have a 70c SSR You'll need to add a few washers to the axle in order to space the caliper the same as it does on stock brakes. As far as I can tell, the caliper mounting plate comes with what looks like a thick washer welded on top. It is easy to replicate with just a few washers of 12mm. As can be seen in the attached image, the black brake calipers are stock with a spacer on top. It took a few washers for the spacing to be correct. It was a very easy fix since the brakes have improved so much since they were originally installed.
It works amazingly well. This brake caliper works extremely well, we built a bracket for mounting it to my go kart racing. As you can see, I'm able to lightly hit the brakes and lock up the rear axle and drive sideways like it's nobody's business, haha! Once I secured the bracket and bolted it on, this brake product works better than the 250 dollar brakes that failed on me and broke. I highly recommend it and it comes with an extra set of brake pads so if you wear out one quickly, you can just swap in another. The caliper and master cylinder are both quality pieces and are a good deal. While I've been shredding on my race go kart through mud sand rain dirt and asphalt, the brakes have never given me problems. Every time they work all day, every night.
According to the product description, it fits my SSR, but it requires a lot of extra rigging with spacers etc. The caliper almost didn't fit onto the rotor due to the extra spacers. In spite of bleeding the system multiple times and troubleshooting, the system did not build pressure subsequent to installation. I have never had any luck with it.
I couldn't be happier with the product. Tao 125 fits perfectly.

I love the fit of my SSR125! This is an easy-to-install device that looks and feels great. My stock one didn't work well. The custom one worked better.
