The Radiator guard had to be somewhat cut due to the aftermarket fuel tank installed on my 2014 crf250l, but as my tank is after market, I am not going to fault the guard for this, however the guard is advertised as aluminum when it is clearly steel. This does not happen with aluminum when it is ground or cut.
There's something very nice and well made about this radiator guard that looks like it would work This kit does NOT fit along with the Acerbis fuel tank, however. As the support arm of the guard hits part of the tank, modifying the support arm to fit would render it useless and severely hinder the guard's performance.
The product is for my 2018 CRF 250L. I highly recommend this product because it fits perfectly.
It is reasonably inexpensive but a review says that it is not composed of aluminum as advertised and is made of sheet steel instead. This is not the case. Aluminum is definitely magnetic and we can prove it with a magnet. The protection is nice and the price is good.
I like the quality of this product, it's strong, and it will protect my radiator well. I was very satisfied with the shipping because it came earlier than expected. There is an indication on my Amazon order that it was delivered directly to the resident, but I don't know if it was since it sat outside my front door for a couple hours.
I installed it on a 2018 Honda CRF 250L. I was pleased with how easy the installation was and how well it fitted. For the two provided inside mounting bolts, you will need a long 5mm allen wrench ( 12" or longer ). I was pleased with the way the silver color looked with the frame.
Out of the box, this does not fit. The model I have is the 2017 CRF 250L. The lower portion of the guard where it attaches to the bodywork had to be ground down.
I would just like to mention that the Radiator guard fits perfectly on a 2016 HondaCRF250L. You will need to put the 2 screws in loosely, then the bolt to the plastic, then tighten them.
