It is true. My use of them was for that purpose. It was not a perfect fit, but it got the job done.

They are for the outside of the windshield frame. The mirrors and light brackets will attach to this

Can you use these screws on the inside of the door to attach the limit strap loop bracket? Do you know what the correct size is if it's not mentioned in the instructions?

Those are smaller in size. They go on the windshields and other parts of the vehicle

Not only for me, but also for others. I made sure that they were the right size, thread, etc. There is an issue with the washers, as others have noted. It is simple to cut off the stock washers if you still have them. I wouldn't have left 5 had it not been for that. I only gave it four stars as it isn't an exact replacement for the OEM. There is a slight chip on the head of one of mine as well. Honestly, I didn't think it was too big of a deal, but it was still worth mentioning.
