In the process of replacing the stock Honda Vultus windshield with the factory extended windshield, I did not measure the capture or the well nuts that came with the replacement. Later, I rode at 65 mph with windy conditions and two of the nuts got Next I ordered an additional three sets of nuts, each of a different size, and all of them were not satisfactory. The final fix that I came up with was a combination of rubber sleeves and Teflon In terms of the problem with capture nuts, they are constructed from different density rubber and, as a result, easily deform when used. My opinion is that they have Please accept this as a help, Blain.

I bought these to replace it. My new installation just arrived. With the wellnuts provided, they fit perfectly and look great. When they finally break in, we'll find out how they held In 2017, I had a hotbodies windscreen installed on my.
Despite my efforts, four of the nuts in my kit had the rubber covering the threads break before any mushroom would form to hold the windshield in place. Those nylon washers are not nearly as large as they need to be to evenly distribute the load. My rifle shield was wrecked because I struck one of its corner mounting points too soon (again, as the mushroom was not yet thick enough to hold it Even though I enjoy turning a wrench, I believe it would be better to just ask your local dealer to get It would be nice to have these installed as well.
It did exactly what it was supposed to. You will need to use plastic washers to prevent the screws from biting into the plastics when installing the screws through the body molding and windshield. The screws are long enough to go through the rubber boots and into the body and windshield molding without much rubbing on the backside. I installed the brakes almost 6 months ago and have driven 3500 miles since then with no looseness or back out.
I used them on a 2013 HD FLTRU and 1/2 of them just let the nut spin inside the rubber base and the rest wouldn't "mushroom" out far enough and just popped out.
I was extremely happy with the performance of the Windscreen Bolt. This package was perfect, but you guys could have included four short screws and two long screws as well. It appears I need another long bolt that comes with the package, so I will reorder it.
The nuts and bolts on my 2005 Yamaha FJR1300 were in need of replacement. The blue decorative piece, the windshield, and the mount are too short to go through them. It is recommended that the bolts be at least 1/4 inches longer.
I installed them on my KLR 650 windshield, they were easy to install, did not notice any defect, were of good quality and only time will tell how well they.
